In that case, apart from Neil, we're struggling for any potential winners.

Surely we didn't already have most of them ruled out by this time last series?

If that's the case we can probably assume that the men lose one of the first two tasks and the women lose the other (as that's what happened in Series 4).

We don't need a list of potential winners. We only need to get the name of the winner right and it's a simple process of elimination IMO.

Moreover, you can hardly say we're struggling for potential winners when no one has found anything that could rule out Jason, Jordan, Rebecca, Tim, Zeeshan and Neil (yet).


P.S. just found out they're filming YF for Ep 2 tomorrow as I'd expected

I'm not saying we needed a list, just that we seem to know a lot more about how far candidates have got into the series than I would've thought. Half of them ruled out before we've even seen one episode. Tim's possibly doubtful based on what his business plan is likely to be, same with Jason.

Also, I was saying that I'm pretty sure the same couldn't have been said for this time last series.

Last series, we didn't go in this much detail and we were largely reliant on Intro Clips and, when they gave us nothing, we had to resort to stalking candidates Twitters to work out if they had gone to You're Fired!

The Spoiler Thread wasn't even set up until after Episode 1 last year!

Jeez, fair enough then At least Tuesday and Wednesday should indicate how far some candidates get to before they're eliminated.

On my TV review for episode 2 it says 2 candidates in the brewing industry go head to head as Project Managers so we can assume they are safe week 1.

LOL I can remember the week Katie got fired cause we all predicted it was Azhar or Adam. So we were all when Katie got fired.

Sounds like Yasmina v Rocky to me! I predict a similar outcome as well (boys to lose and losing PM to get fired)

So it looks as though one of them has to be Kurt for definite. I'm not sure who the other PM could be, if it was to be a female then possibly Sophie or Luissa.

That has to imply that the girls lose task 2 then, as we know Kurt gets fired further on.

What are the tasks in task 1,2 & 3 and any others?

I initially thought it could be Natalie due to her experience in pubs, but I'm not sure about that. Karren said in a Digital Spy Interview that the team she is following messes up heavily in Week 2 and I'm pretty sure that this team is the Girls team...


In Week 1, they get a container full of imported goods at Midnight and have to sell all of them by 4PM.
In Week 2, they have to create and sell their own brand of ale.
In Week 3, its the Design Task and they have to design a piece of Flat-pack furniture.

Yeah it starts tomorrow - can't wait!!

Why definitely Kurt? He sells fresh protein shakes and juices which have nothing to do with the brewing industry.

Tim is more likely to have brewing industry experience as he's developing a new soft drinks brand Refresca (his biz plan?). He's also been to Latin America where beer and soft drinks tend to be produced by the same companies.

Rebecca could also be a candidate for the girls' brewing PM. We don't know much about her but she sounds like she's had a varied career.

Could I ask where you got your info about Refresca? I haven't seen anything about that.

I've had a look at Tim's linkedin profile and there's no mention of any brewing experience there. In fact there's only his current Mexican food business (could he have gone to Latin America for that?) - which is opening a new store in May close to where I live.

Kurt as part of his business would most likely have had to create and develop shakes himself. Indeed his side business involves distributing shakes that would have been made on-site. It's not exactly brewing but it's a similar industry. That's why I said "it looks as though" - hearing what the task was, you'd think he'd put himself forward. Besides which, there's nothing we have that would suggest any of the others, unless something later comes to light.

You could be right about Tim, but based on the info that I have personally seen, I would've thought Kurt for definite would put himself forward.

All we know about Rebecca is that she's a medical rep now and she used to work in a post office, there's pretty much nothing out there.

Selling fresh shakes from a shop is very different from producing and distributing bottled soft drinks/beer to retail intermediaries. Bottled soft drinks and beer share a lot of the same production/distribution/marketing channels and that's why they're usually owned by the same companies.

Just noticed that a reviewer who was ace at providing spoilers last year has said that tomorrow's opening episode is one of the best so far and that Tim is his early favourite.

Ah ok thank you. I have to concede you probably know more than me on this one, I was just basing it on what information I have seen. Seeing as Kurt is the only one who is in the drinks industry per se, I presumed it would be him who would PM.

Interesting that Refresca isn't mentioned on Tim's linkedin profile - only the new burrito store opening. That opening is meant to be in my local shopping centre. I certainly haven't seen it when I've been up there so it must be opening this month (May was when it's supposed to open).

I'm guessing Refresca must be in its early stages then.

Girls (Endeavour) lose, Jaz (PM) is fired

Boys' team is Evolve, PM Jason

I think you may be right about Natalie. The Radio Times says that the PMs in Ep 2 will be "two candidates with an interest in the drinks business". This is very different from saying that they're in the brewing industry and widens the net considerably.

Based on the info you've highlighted, I'm starting to think that Natalie will be the next one fired in Ep 2 as she's the only female candidate unaccounted for in my exit timeline. It'll be interesting to see whether tonight's clips indicate otherwise.

Hmm, there might be a slight issue with that though. At the moment you have a female candidate fired in both ep 1 and ep 2, but didn't it say somewhere that the teams wouldn't be mixed in week 3? So we all thought that the men would lose one week and the women the other on that basis.

If that is the case, then I think the men might lose tonight and Jason would be fired. In all honesty, what does he actually do? Even his bio on the BBC website has him listed as a "historian and property entrepreneur", and it looks as though he's doing a PhD at King's College London within the Centre for Hellenic Studies (if it is him, which I think it could be as it's stated that he was born in Athens) - indeed I've just been on there and he's uploaded some of his papers in the last few hours.

All evidence seems to point to the girls losing week 2, so if the info I read about the teams not being mixed in week 3 is true, then it looks like the men lose tonight.

First impression based on the intro is that the likes of Jason, Neil, Luisa and Natalie (the latter mostly in the boardroom though, even if young apprentice showed us not to read too much into it) are very often showed. Hopefully tomorrow gives us some new clips already.

When the spoilers point towards one team losing, it's often the other team that actually loses, I can see the girls losing tonight and the guys tomorrow
