Do we know if Ian is to return at all, given that he is now head of the governors at Coal Hill School?

All together now... #Thank you, Mr Moffat

Even if Ian himself doesn't return, which I really hope he does, I'm very pleased with this news anyway. Totter's Lane was near the very tiptop of what I wanted in the 50th!

Second location is the school yard:

So we should be about to find out, though it's pretty obvious he is, Clara drives in on the motorbike and they're filming more than one scene (a recreation of the bobby scene with a modern police man, Clara driving a motorbike through the gates and now a scene in the schoolyard).

I wouldn't go that far, he's still cheated us out of a series and declined to bring back classic Doctors.

I also love the homage to Anthony Coburn, making the headteacher W Coburn. Any idea if the W is made up or stands for something? William as in William Russell perhaps? Or am I just overthinking?

Most exciting day since the Zygon reveal IMO

I was thinking

William (Hartnell, Anthony) Coburn.

Could also be William as in William Hartnell, the first actor to play the Doctor?

It's set in the modern day, so they'll probably be using the original if she does. Given his mention on the sign, I think it'll be Ian.

As for W. Coburn could it be a combination of Waris (Hussein) and (Anthony) Coburn??

Lovely to see this. And proof that Moffat knew he could honour the origins of the series without actually casting the surviving doctors.

Just seeing those pictures gives you shivers!

I still can't quite make the time out. First time I saw it it looked like 3:25. I think I need a magnifying glass.
