Surprised this thread hasn't been started yet!

Granted, The Crimson Horror rarely soars, but it proves to be an interesting collection of characters, in an interesting set of circumstances. It's breezy, and occasionally just stopping short of a cheeky wink in your direction. The Crimson Horror is a fun, standalone mystery, with lots of little things to like about it, that add up to a perfectly solid whole. Potentially interesting final scene, too...

I was going to start it earlier but I was scared I'd do it wrong and be frowned upon forever!

Looking forward to this one, I'm quite the fan of Vastra, Jenny, Strax.

There was another DS teaser saying we will get the first snogging scene since The Snowmen so that'll be interesting to see who that is and I doubt it's Jenny and Madam Vastra lol.

The last scene is very interesting apparently

I'm hoping Strax plays a starring role again, as this episode could be a stinker.

There's nothing like being optimistic.

And that really is nothing like being optimistic!

The Times have given it a thumbs up. They say Gatiss has written a "witty, scary and well-woven episode", "superbly styled Victoriana" and "contains one of the funniest/strangest reveals of the series so far".

Looking good.

Saw the clip earlier of them pretending to be Doctor and Mrs Smith complete with full on 'eh op luv, me and the mrs ere' Northern accent from Matt

All the clips from this so far basically make it look like it's just going to be a good, fun adventure and that's fine by me!

Maybe Mark Gatiss is going to write a well structured and balanced episode for a change. He always tries to be too ambitious and serious.
