Whilst it'd be great to have an 'outside' regeneration, they just wont do it as the filming of it would be seen by the people who go to watch, and no doubt spoilt by one of those/one of the many journalists who'd be there

Oh, and something else. I like how when Four and Five regenerated, they added glimpses of the enemies and Companions they'd had during their eras. That's something I'd like to see as well; Eleven reflecting back on friends and foes alike.

Technically the scenario of the regeneration from 4 - 5 could also be added to the 10-11 regeneration. The fall
of The 10th Doctor in his final episode was from much higher up with a much harder landing. The 4th Doctor
fell several hundred feet and landed in a field, while The 10th Doctor fell from a few thousand feet, smashed
through a huge glass dome, and landed on a solid marble floor with quite a thud!

I like the regeneration effect used in the new series, and I like the impulse on RTD'S part to standardize regeneration. None of this Romana trying on faces nonsense, if you please, and I like the idea that regeneration unlocks immense energy--as though you're tapping into the potentiality of all that a Time Lord can be.

Definitely something where he is seriously injured rather than being poisoned so you can see that he isn't going to survive these injuries and the regeneration then has more impact .... Being shot by a gang of daleks, blown up.....
