Anybody else thing Mark Ruffalo makes the film? I think he is the best 'Hulk' I have seen, he (and Joss Whedon) have given the hulk a personality! My 4 year old loves 'hulk smash' lol.

Much better than the other two. Can't beat Bill Bixby though.

He is perfect for the role, so quiet and unassuming, then all hell is let loose.

I think he (The Hulk) is the only redeeming character in the film. Everyone else is just annoying and unlikable.

I never understood all the love in for Hulk. When Banner turned into the Hulk, those were great moments. As a character he was pretty unremarkable. I suppose it made an impression for comic book fanboys.

By far and away the most interesting character was Stark/Iron Man.

Can someone explain why he went berserk on the ship, but he could 'control' himself in the final fight?

I'd have liked Stark more if he wasn't a dick, and didn't make an awful joke every 5 seconds.

Also, who makes arms then gets upset when they discover that arms kill people? Just seems stupid to me...

I suppose in Iron man 1, when he is in Afghanistan and sees the plight of the locals plus what his weapons have done and the near death experience, it changes him slightly.

Could have been expanded on though.

Because he can turn at will whilst he's in control, but still lose control when sufficiently provoked.

I must be one of the few that liked Edward Norton's Hulk. I was pretty disappointed when I heard he wasn't coming back for The Avengers, but I have to admit Mark Ruffalo is awesome.

Completely agree absolutely loved both him and the hulk in the Avengers, they stole the show for me. "Puny God" being my personal favourite

I've never really liked Banner's character, just his sitution of having an uncontrolable beast within;the conflict and duality of his life.

Though i did prefer Norton's portrayal because he didn't appear as whimsy and scared as Ruffalo's Banner.

He's spent the last few years learning to control it, but lost control on that occasion partly because he was provoked, and partly because of the influence of Loki's staff. Even then he managed to control where he landed.

I think thats why I liked Ruffalos banner, because I bought him as a nerdy scientist, which is what Dr Banner was supposed to be. How many scientists are buff body builders lol.

Also my daughters favourite line of the film. Also Hulk was never a hero, but the Avengers gave him a likeable trait. Glad he is going to be in the sequel!

I think the plan is to stick with Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk from now onwards.Although it will just be in the Avengers and cameo roles in the other Marvel films as a stand alone Hulk film doesn't look likely in the near future!

I saw something online with ruffalo and Whedon both saying that they haven't ruled out a stand alone hulk film, but there are no plans in the works at the moment. The next time we will see him will be Avengers 2.

Also in an interview with Ruffalo he said he feels he takes the role as an older banner/hulk. Would like to see that portrayed in a film.

Yeah that why I stated not in the near future as Marvel have already got all their films planned up to 2015 and I would be very suprised to see a Hulk film before 2020!

I can't see how its shocking as we have got these films coming out

Thor 2 - October 2013
Captain America 2 - April 2014
Guardians Of The Galaxy - August 2014
Avengers 2 - 2015
Antman - 2015

Then there are rumours of a Doctor Strange film after Antman as well as more Thor and Captain America films. As well as Avengers 3 in 2018 and I believe that Marvel have plans to introduce other superheros in films.Marvel tend to stick to 2 films a year so its hard to see how another Iron Man film or a Hulk film can fit in before 2020

^^^

Not to mention after getting the rights for Daredevil and Ghost Rider back I'm reasonably sure they'll look into the possibility of making movies based on those characters.

I could see them buiding up to a Defenders or even Marvel Knights movie.

I can't see them doing Ghost Rider reboot soon as it doesn't fit in the current Marvel plans.Daredevil maybe but I can't see it happening soon!

I think Marvel might go for a Nova film as it fits well into the Guardians Of Galaxy universe which seems to be where Marvel are heading.Nova is Marvel version of Green Lantern!
