At least when I am time travelling in a TARDIS there is no danger of me crashing into a building that is now standing in the spot I just traveled in time on.

How about a TARDIS disguised as a Deloreon?

The TARDIS has more space and travels in time AND space, not just time.

Are you making the mistake of thinking that where we're going, we need roads?

TARDIS 100% - it travels through time AND space; and you get to live it in as well!

In fact I would be happy with a TARDIS that needed a tow truck to move a centimeter so long as I got to live in it.

TARDIS, they protect you from the harmful effects of time travel which cause Parkinsons

Pipe down.

DeLorean wins - WAY cooler than a blue wooden box.

TARDIS every time. Infinite space and rooms - imagine the kind of train set you could build in there. You can probably have a room big enough for a DeLorean to get up to 88...

I suppose the one thing the DeLorean has going for it is that it's all probably less complicated for a bit of amateur time traveling.

A rather nasty Michael J Fox reference, I assume.

If anyone actually prefers the DeLorean to the Tardis please drop me a line. I don't have the car, but I do have a few very special "magic time travel beans" that I'd be willing to sell. They're even better than a DeLorean!

Even though I like both BTTF and DW the Tardis is bigger on the inside so I will have to go with the Tardis

That's one thing I've wondered about the DeLorean. What if you travelled say 30 years into the future, and a busy shopping centre then lay on the same spot you were before?

It would just be an accident waiting to happen, sadly. Even in mid-air, you could still collide with aircraft or a tall structure.

I would still love to travel in it though, if the TARDIS wasn't an option.

That could work, the entrance to the console room could be located beneath the passenger seat.

Imagine having that as an episode, a time machine within a time machine. I wonder what would happen? Time vortex vs flux capacitor.
