I think she is using the word flavour in metaphoric and allegoric terms rather than literally, the way you seem to have taken it.

This was her finest hour. She sized up the situation in a millisecond, showed leadership and took charge while the others sat like dummies. Notice that when things started to go wrong the director switched immediately to Alesha to get her reaction. He/she obviously considers Alesha to be the star!

She could obviously run her own show one day. What I like most about her is that everything she says and does is straight from her heart with no thought of how it looks to others.

Incidentally I was hugely impressed with Malaki's mum. She seems perfect for him - more like a big sister.

I like Alesha alot- she seems like a genuinely warm, fun girl and she isn't afraid to say if something isn't good but she also loves to give the praise when it's due.

I don't think anyone is a stand-out judge (besides Simon of course) but they work really well together. The show would suffer for it if any one of them left.
