I had to nip back to see how many likes you had, Lost_Soul (and for another look at Mac ) - you're doing really well! The Day 1 pic is so sad - that expression in the poor mite's eyes.

Thanks to everyone who liked Macs photo, the competition is due to finish and i really am very grateful to all of you ...
and to that lovely person who pm'd me accusing me of making up a sob story to 'pimp' out my cat for some free food, you said i should have made a better story and that i couldn't know where mac came from or when his birthday was if he was abandoned at my home...i do know, he was brought by a family member who took him home, realised something wasnt right and decided they couldnt be bothered with a sick kitten so they came here and left him (once he was healthy they even had the cheek to ask me for the money they paid for him!)...he was sold on a facebook group so i managed to trace who sold him and exactly when he was born and report the people to the rspca (not that they did anything!)...sorry to dissappoint you but Mac's story is 100% true.

the day one pic is heart breaking, he couldnt stand without falling over and the reddish tinge to his fur was caused by flea dirt...its a good job he likes water because he's had a hell of a lot of baths
these photos below show just how under weight he was...people have asked me if he was dead when these were taken..lol..obviously he isnt, hes just sound asleep!

and how he looks today, he still sleeps in the same position and he still has some balance problems but (fingers crossed) so far there hasn't been too many side effects from the drugs that were in his system.

I would be shocked if I ever received a nasty pm here, I've only ever received nice, supportive pms and I had no idea that posters used the pm facility in that way - I would have thought they would be just as happy to be nasty openly anyway. Those sort of posters usually are. I hope you reported the pm?

Oh that poor little thing, Lost_Soul. It's so bloody heart-breaking. But even there, he's obviously feels safe with you if he can sleep flat out like that, with his tummy completely unprotected. He's a really gorgeous lad.
