Do you think they still would have aired the special on a 23rd if it was a weekday?

I think it's a lucky coincidence if not I think they would have just done it to the closest Saturday they could

What are they going to do for the 100th anniversary? 23/11/2063 falls on a Friday. Do you think they will show the 22 doctors on Saturday 24th?

The first three are already dead, and Tom can't have long left. 50 years time, Matt will be as old as Tom is now. The others are all older than him...

The next anniversary celebration will be a blockbuster film which will be in cinemas for several weeks, so the point will be moot.

It will also last more than 60 minutes

By then they'll have taken old/dead Doctor DNA and spliced it into frog eggs and hatched clone Doctors to make The 22 Doctors. Or maybe just CGI. Whichever's cheaper.

The Five Doctors, marking the 25th Anniversary, aired on Friday 25 November 1983 at 19:20 on Children In Need night.

Luck has nothing to do with how the dates and days fall: it's the Gregorian Calendar we're on - with the leap century - that made the 50th anniversary fall on the same day in 2013 as An Unearthly Child did in 1963
