EXCLUSIVE:- Simon Cowell rejects big named celebs for Music professionals

I think it has been shown that these big named celebrities don't usually work on shows like X Factor and actually takes away from the artists that are performing on the show. Therefore for me I believe that this is the correct decision to be made.

New York Daily is also one of the most respected publishing sites so this must be from a reputable source. Will it work ??

And what professionals would you like to see on the show ?

Maybe thats his way of getting Cheryl back!
She isn't a big name in the states but she has been on the show before and has chemistry with Simon. I wouldn't agree, but I can see that if he wanted her back, this is how he would sell it.

It doesn't actually say they're going for managers or anything like that, they just aren't chasing big names anymore. The quote the article seems to be built around is "Forget the big names in favor of chemistry" which to me confirms Cheryl for the US X Factor and Sharon for the UK X Factor.

kelly rowland isn't a big name in the usa nowadays. I still think she's the one who's replacing britney

For me this is very telling for Cheryl`s return. So that when she comes back, her return would be justified whenever people would question why Simon would pick her over a BIG NAMED CELEB.

He was actually saying the exact same thing in the run up of the first season, he said that the chemistry was the most important thing not the names, so it could be a sign of Cheryl returning.

I think this is a good idea, I mean simon wasn't a big name when he started out and that turned out well.

they need a good chemistry as a group though, not just two female judges who know how to argue with Simon whilst a fourth judge has been plonked on the end of the panel to make up numbers. This is where Simon needs to get it right.

I know he gets a lot of stick but I genuinely think the missing link on the US show has been a Louis Walsh type judge rather than a Cheryl.I know the press keep running with this 'she's the saviour' stuff but Demi is kinda filling her role already. Simon needs a Louis.

Why not have a Sharon, Simon, Demi, Louis US panel?

Also, now-a-days it's less about the contestants. Simon says he wants someone who 'has something to say' as a judge. No disrespect to Demi or Cheryl or anyone else but it's become a case now-a-days where stars are only there to raise their own profile. They don't give a stuff about finding talent. The show becomes all about them and making *them* a star.

I completely agree with this. The women will always be the "fashion war/catfight" malarky. It is a Louis Walsh type needed on the other end to anchor the panel.

I think Simon made a huge mistake with X Factor USA which has been proved with the very low impact it's made over there. He should have stuck with American Idol and his shows in the UK.

X Factor worked in the UK because there was no other show like it. I think he got greedy and it's cost him dearly. This will be cancelled in the US this year and he can return to salvage the British show.

I think he perhaps did get greedy. Obviously the shows may have declined anyway if he had stayed, and I appreciate he's ambitious and wanted to try something else, but as a result of moving the XF to America - BGT initally suffered when he didn't do the auditions that one year (obviously he's back now), XF UK has definitely suffered, and XF USA just hasn't made an impact. imo, I can't imagine millions will suddenly begin to watch XFUSA even if the panel is perfect.

I wish he'd stuck with American Idol, BGT and XF UK.

I agree.... had American Idol not existed... it would have been a fresh new show and probably done very well... but with American Idol an established success for years... the The Voice doing very well at the time... it was one talent show too many. Greed got the better of him ...it will be toast by next year.

I thought this was old news because there was a story a while back that record executive Sylvia Rhone was replacing LA Reid. That must just have been a rumour then.

No, I don't think Simon made a mistake. X Factor USA or no X Factor USA, he wouldn't have stayed as a judge on American Idol.

I mean, what's the point of staying as a judge on somebody else's talent show when you have TWO talent show franchises of your own that need to be judged and taken care of?

Simon would have left AI and brought X Factor to the US much sooner, if he could. But, he couldn't - he was bound to AI with a contract signed after the 2004 settlement with Fuller.

The evidence is there he has made a mistake, he just won't have it. The show is doing exactly what he said he never wanted it to do: "dying a death of a thousand cuts".

He missed the boat with XFUSA, any business man will tell you that you strike whilst the iron is hot not after it's gone cold. In his arrogance he thought the X Factor franchise would win and the team of him with Paula would be the ticket. The show will end very soon, if not this year then next. A new panel every year is a clear sign they aren't winning.

If he had stayed with AI he could have negotiated all kinds of stuff between the UK/US shows.
