Anyway, I think it's quite clear who DS prefer

Presenting & going on holiday; you are right, a true dedication to music right there.

And you're right again, someone who cares about music MUST care about the money. I mean, music is just solely for the money, I get it - I finally get it!

In line to present a flop show that gets about 10 viewers a night, not really what I'd consider successful but ok.

He's been constantly working, going on XFactor tour and gigs aswell as doing CBB this year. He's allowed to have some time to himself (Although the night he returned he was back gigging again).

And not really because the money wouldn't go solely to her anyway. But no "artist" with class would sell their music (Not even her own song lol, just some lame cover) for free.

What's it got to do with the 'class' of the artist? Surely someone who truly cares about and loves music would want everyone to be able to hear their music, and therefore releasing something for free is the best way to do that? Someone who truly cares and loves music wouldn't care about the money side of things. I don't doubt for a second that Rylan will be more succesful than Melanie, but I don't think you can even try and argue that Rylan cares more about music than her.

We all know it'll just be a record label in it for a quick buck on the back of his celebrity status.

We already heard Melanie sing that "Cry Baby" song or whatever shit during her audition so it's just a really poor attempt at trying to force people to take an interest in her seeing as that was her "moment" on the show. I don't know Melanie's music "background" but Rylan has been making music demos since he was 18 (Which is 6yrs ago) and he hasn't given up so I'd say he's pretty dedicated.

Good to see you're finally acknowledging him as a celebrity.

Weird how the landslide winner of this poll is one of three decisions that didn't even go to deadlock, they sent her home by majority. Not that I really disagree with that decision. They wanted it more than she did.

Also strange how all of the winners bar the last on the show are the exact opposite of what happened (not sure whether to count the Kye v MK1 due to the error). Though to be honest I only agreed with 4 of the show decisions myself.

Niall! Xtra Factor is anything but a flop! It attracts 1m viewers. 10 is far beyond an exaggeration.

Also Downton Addict:

It's not interesting at all because 1) this is an immensely small sample size compared to the rest of the UK population - 100 people voting of the poll is hardly representative of 10 million people's views, 2) it's just DS and others watching, 3) small margins of 1 or 2 votes in difference - easily changeable with another 10 votes!, and 4) what I consider to be the greatest flaw with this poll, James Arthur was not properly taken into account, his Fallin' was up there with Ruth's sing offs.

If you're not interested in the views of other DS users, why come on here? I'll never understand posters who say that the views of DS users are somehow invalid because they don't reflect the general voting public. Of course they don't, because as you said, it's an extremely small sample compared to the number who watch XF, but I still think it's interesting to see what people on here think! Not least because people on here actually analyse the show beyond the average casual Saturday night viewer.

For me, the right person is winning this poll. Jade's version of White Flag was brilliant. I say that as someone who likes Union J - if they had gone that night, I would have been able to see why, as I truly feel that Jade slayed them in that sing-off. I would agree with Downtownaddict though that they seemed to want it more than Jade did.

What are you talking about? You've completely twisted what I said. I'm basically saying that it's not true that these results mean anything in a greater context of things, whether these results mean anything for how the judges should have decided who to save or not. You've just taken what I said and completely changed it to make it look as though I've insulted someone or killed a puppy. I didn't say any of what you've just said (as though I don't care what other DS members think - how ridiculous).

If you look at a topic I did a few weeks ago (which you likely never will so I'll tell you anyway), I asked everyone to tell me their top 10 favorite sing off performances. Jade's version of White Flag was 4th for me under Ruth's sing offs and James's Fallin'. So basically - I also think it's fair to say Jade's was one of the best (if not the best) sing off of S9.

I'm very interested in what others think (especially on this forum), that's why I made a topic asking people what their favorite sing off songs were in the first place .

You said that Downtownaddict's observation wasn't interesting at all because the poll didn't mean anything in a wider context. I said that I couldn't understand that view and gave reasons why. I don't get how I 'twisted your words' in any way, but no problem. No insult was intended.

Obviously it was because we only saw about 1 minute of it on XF, and she wanted people to be able to hear the full version. I don't see how you've concluded that she did it to get more people to take an interest in her, as she only posted it on her twitter and fb page so therefore the only people who would have seen it would be people who follow/like her, and therefore already have an interest in her. And I think Rylan made his stance about the whole music/celebrity thing pretty clear when he stated many times that he always 'thought he was more of a Big Brother contestant than an X Factor constestant.'

haha I was talking about Big Brother's Bit On The Side which he's heavily rumoured to be presenting, which most definitely is a flop show

That one minute of screaming added to another two minutes, her fans' poor ears.

When something is posted online though no matter where it may be (Twitter, FB, YT etc) it gets around super quickly and will definitely gain her more hype for the future if she plans on releasing more material and I guess she's hoping for more support by giving the shameless promo.

Rylan only said that because he's wanted to go on BB for years (He auditioned before for it when he was like 18) so it was like a dream especially after his great victory. He admitted he was a famewhore back then anyway.

I wouldn't say Jade wanted it less than Union J, I think she knew she was bound to go regardless so just decided to make a mockery of the show by absolutely destroying Union J

Oh yeah, that show is absolutely shocking. Amelia did a flop song on there - no wonder it flopped. I so agree - most of the notorious BB watchers don't even watch it.
