Real office, or stage set - Elstree!
Am I right in remembering reading that it's not really a board room at all - the long table and opaque glass that Lord Sugar emerges from, are simply props on a lavish set! If so, that's my illusions shattered!

It's not Elstree, it's Wimbledon Studios in Merton.
When they get fired, they walk out of the Viglen building which is in Essex. On the programme, I think they want to pretend Lord Sugar's office is in the Canada Tower at Canary Wharf. If you notice the boardroom wall are at an angle as if they are in the pyramid at the top of the Canada Tower. |

One thing i've always wondered is where are all the cameras? You often get face on shots of Alan and the candidates, which means the camera must be right next to someone, but you never see any of them. Is it just very cleverly done and all the cameras are hidden in the walls etc, or do they shoot scenes and cut etc??

It's in a studio isn't it? I read something online about it all.
