I agree. My four cousins and my five nieces are all mixed race (as my kids will be, if The Fiance and I are ever daft enough to multiply

) and are a variety of shades, shapes, sizes and colours. They're all half Indian, half ''white''. One is blonde haired, blue eyed and pale skinned; one is green eyed, dark haired, and naturally lightly tanned, another is darker skinned than I am, but has blue eyes. One is darker than I am and has darker hair and eyes, but shares facial features with her lighter skinned sisters.
The majority of the rest are dark haired and dark eyed, but you wouldn't know they were mixed race by their skintone unless you stood them next to both parents at the same time. Every single one of them is gorgeous.
Same is true of my stunning sister, who is darker skinned than I am (she's always had a thing about that, for some bizarre reason) but is much taller and quite a bit slimmer these days!
Apologies for the boring family colour chart.

I suppose my point is that people are beautiful whatever shade they are... and while it's obviously up to each individual how they choose to look, I think it is sad that someone would try to hide their natural skintone - which is what it looks like Uzma is trying to do.
Obviously, if she's happy doing that (if she really is doing it) then it's none of mine or anyone else's business. If one puts oneself on national television, however, people are going to comment.
