You can get BT Sport free provided your ISP is BT Broadband and you are using the BT YouView box.

My response was specific to the question asked by Mugwuff!

As you also state there are different combos... so provided you are a BB customer:

1. Sky - BT Sport and ESPN free. HD versions free for 12months then cost £3 per month.

2. Infinity - BT Sport and ESPN free. HD versions free for 12months then cost £3 per month, Sky Sports also available in SD.

3. Standard ADSL - Free using Vision G2 (Black STBs) using Freeview - all channels in SD.

Apologies, Scottty! (although unless I misread his question, Mugwuff didn't seem to say he was in an infinity enabled area).

For those that aren't in an infinity based area it seems to indicate the you won't be able to get ESPN on your TV but only online through the app?

i.e.

"Sport on BT TV requires compatible box, fee £49-£299 may apply. BT TV customers will need to order & pay for viewing card by phone on 1 Aug; allow ten days for delivery. Content depends on transmitter, aerial and availability of digital channels. You will not be able to watch ESPN on your TV or BT Sport channels in HD "

Just added BT Sport via BT website - I have Infinity + BT Vision with extra channels.

Right I am an idiot

So I have bt infinity and phone, do I need to sign up for the sport or will I get it automatically?

Also I tried adding the sport on there web page, by upgrading my bt tv package. I chose the youview option and the linear channels option is classed as coming soon

So I take it that when these channels launch they will be in hd?

You can get the BT Sports channels via a black Sky+HD Box without the need for a Sky subscription, as long as you have an active FreesatFromSky Card.

BT just need the Sky card number.
