HDMI1 and HDMI 2 screen display

Hope some can shed a little light on this infuriating quirk, I have a Panny TX-32LXD60A TV which is connected to Panny DMR-HW220 HDD Recorder via a HDMI lead into number one HDMI socket on the TV I have also a Skybox f3 satellite receiver connected via a HDMI lead into number two HDMI socket on the TV there is no problem when viewing the HDD recorder my problem starts when I select HDMI channel 2 to view the satellite box the little HDMI 2 logo keeps appearing on the TV screen at irregular intervals which can be quite distracting, is there a way to stop this happening I have a limited success when I chose the HDMI channel leave it a second or two before turning on the skybox but if I forget and turn on the skybox first then the logo keeps flashing up on the screen, I don't like I said have this problem on HDMI1 when I use the recorder, I have even swopped the channels over using 1 for the Skybox and Two for the recorder but the same thing happens as soon as I select HDMI 2 the logo keeps popping up on the screen, is there something in the TV settings I am overlooking or what, any help would be appreciated

You turn the on screen graphics on and off via the "i" button on the TV remote but if its intermittent then it wont be that ? Has the TV always done this on hdmi 2 ?
LXD60 although good is very elderly and 1st generation regarding hdmi - its possible its faulty rather than a quirk of the TV . It might be worth making sure the hdmi leads are well separated from each other and very importantly from the aerial cable .

Thanks for the reply The leads were the first thing I looked at along with the "i" button when I first encountered this problem, will agree about the age of the LX60 (in todays techno world it is looked upon as steam driven) but until she starts to misfire I will not up grade for the sake of it, you raise an interesting point about 1st generation HDMI and I think that could be more near the reason for this quirk, I guess I will have to make sure I turn the AV select HDMI button first to HDMI2 before firing up the skybox, ah well...
