I thought Danny's reaction was just right. I'm guessing PJ was advised not to go all 2012 on us, but that seemed a little too cold, even if he was shocked.

Maul were excellent.

Not a fan of the director from her previous work and this suffered from it.

Texas's bit in the opening titles where she throws a handful of petals looks a bit spooky now.

Too wet. Too cold. Too emotional. Too reserved. PJ could've outshone Daniel Day Lewis and some would be, 'he did it wrong' whatever he does.

It was fine.

I hope so, I mean I think his shock was good, but I don't know, I guess I expected more.

Yeah, I expected more crying and screaming, even though I'm sure it would of been just as stale, but everyone just seemed to act like it was the norm with just a few tears. For what had happened, some were acting a bit too...normal?

Yeah. The village at large reacted much more strongly to Lynsey's death.

I thought all of their reactions sucked. In fact I thought this episode sucked from start to finish but all that matters is that the bitch is dead *sips champagne*

Oh definitely, I think that was probably the best post-death reaction scenes out of many.

Plus that hug

I love you kojan.

I know.

It was great though. You had Brendan's rage and anger (the scene in Chez Chez where he shouts at Joel was amazing), Bronagh and her outpouring of grief. Walker's fake support for Brendan. Lynsey's friends all stunned. It was great and so last minute which made it even better.

Well I'm glad I bothered watching those two episodes back to back, I should have just left well alone after seeing the reaction on here.

Comes to something when Mercedes was my favourite part of an episode.

*snorts*

Yeah, nothing struck me as good or ok or right in this episode. It was like no one knew what to do or how to feel or what was going on. And not in the way that's 'one of us was just murdered and omfgwhodunnit!'

It was oddly silent too, I guess, is what I want to say. When you're expecting wailing and raised voices and extreme emotion, it felt too quiet. Unnerving.

It was a simple comment. I didn't realise this was the PJ appreciation thread.

I couldn't help comparing it to Lynsey's death as well. It outshone it in so many ways.

I always felt that they downplayed Doug's reaction then too (Lynsey's). I guess that's how he was directed to play it. But what do I know

This. I think this is what I've been trying to explain in my 'slow paced' descriptions!

Has this turned into the Doug/PJ appreciation thread by any chance...?

I wonder if the actors just realised that no one actually gave a f*ck about Texas and acted accordingly

BIB I was just thinking that, but at least he got a scene where he was allowed to break down. It was clear that he was just in shock then, where as now... I don't quite know what that was all about. Not just Doug, everyone involved.

Yes, I thought about the silence thing too - not even any music. Although yesterday had its ridiculous "tension sounds" when Maul were scheming.

I even went back to the thread where that happened to look for you and no one mentioned it.

No idea what the song is, but Emmett looked lovely in that episode. I am definitely more a fan of the tache than the beard or clean shaven.

Thank you.

I recognise it but I don't know what it is, and it's frustrating meh.

The cynic in me wondered at the time if they were reacting to those who loved Doug/Lynsey together ES was well aware of the petition we did... It would kill all that Stug love

Sorry

It wasn't Doug specifically for me. The whole episode felt off.
