Yes, us regular posters, like to post from time to time.
You are actually a pretty decent example of my point .

17 posts yesterday ( 24 hrs) , evenly spread up till nearly 5am .

There was an eight hour "gap" between 12 noon and 8pm which kinda suggests that you are a night shift worker and asleep at that time or maybe you were working for those 8 hours .
Either way , it looks as though if you are not asleep you are either checking / reading threads / or posting on DS .

I would imagine that you frequent other forums as well , as I do.

I'm certainly not criticising regular posters - or forum junkies as I like to call myself

Hah! Some people would do well to try Rifle Range Stew .

In the army, if we were spending a day on the rifle ranges (which were a long drive away from camp), our lunch would be brought out to us. Most blokes (me included) would have their dinner, pudding and bread or whatever in the same mess tin - it saved on washing up, as there weren't any facilities (you just grabbed a handful of gravel, filled it with water from a nearby river, and swished it about. And yes, it came up sparkling).

I drew the line with my tea though - I'd have that in my mug.

It wasn't meant as a diagnosis so there's really no need for un-wisecracks tbh.

Aspergers was just a suggested as a possibility especially when so many on here are clearly obsessed with posting on forums.

Incidentally , 10% of Aspergers also suffer from OCD

PS
Many on here aren't just talking about sauces either.

It definitely is a possibility in certain extreme cases as I posted earlier.

And as you mentioned, many are not just talking about sauces.

I'm not a night shift worker and don't suffers from Asperger syndrome to a great degree, though I have some symptoms pertaining to OCD and am mildly dyslexic, IMO. I don't post on other forums these days.

I'm more likely to fall under some or all of the following categories, judging by certain comments made to me on DS in the past. You name it, it has been said.

Sorry for being off topic.

Sounds like you , like many , many others are simply on the autistic spectrum which encompasses many traits and conditions , lot of overlapping as well.

Take an online AS test , you may well get a surprise.

Evening all,

I went out with my sister afew days ago for a curry and she ordered a korma and I ordered a pathia and we said we would share, now for me "sharing" foods especially currys or other "wet" foods is abit of a nightmare. I really hate sauces touching each other, beans can't touch ketchup, different curry sauces can't touch etc etc, if it does then that area of my plate is contaminated and won't eat that bit if food. I sound like a complete freak. Now me and my sister have eaten together since we were little and my little issue has got worse as I've got older, when we went out for a curry she did the exact same thing as me which is to put the rice in the middle as a shield and build up to the curry sauces until you have two separate areas of curry to eat. I was just wondering if there's anybody else who does this as bad as me? Like seriously I hate it when people suggest sharing curry dishes because the separating out really stresses me out. We probably sound mental but I found a friend who does similar.

Does anybody know why we might do this?
Used to have a flat-mate with a similar problem but in his case he would only eat the food items on his plate one whole thing at a time. So for example if he had sausage, chips and beans he would eat all the chips (on their own) then the sausages and then all the beans. I mean, the whole point of the beans is to give the dry things moist sauciness! Bizarre chap...

People mock, but for me it isn't a choice. I didn't just wake up one day and decide that i'd feel like crying if my waffles touch my sauce without me specifically dipping it in. Or that I wouldn't like my mash touching my peas or carrots or whatever.

I'm not saying it is a major problem, but it is an issue.

Thank you. I took the test you linked to and I did get a surprise - I'm not. My score was quite a long way beneath the threshold.

I think what we're suffering from is foibles, rather than anything medical. But you never know, some people may take the test and realise they actually do have a touch of Asperger's.

If you had a korma didn't you want to stop the almonds touching anything? or the chicken touching the sauce?

Weird.

Thank you all for continuing to post. Pleased to see I'm not alone!!

Yeah I didn't just wake up one day and decided I didn't like it, I have no idea where it stems from, I guess when me and my sisters were little something must have happened at the dinner table to make us this way. I really wish I could just enjoy it all slopped on the plate together but I can't!!

I love ketchup on roast dinner also mint sauce mixed into the ketchup then pour the gravy over it
I have no prblem with either of those.

I had mash with my Lamb and gravy last night, lovely.
filthy animals.
I have a mate who's a southerner and they don't believe in sauces on chips down south. Try waking into a chippy and asking for gravy, curry sauce or mushy peas and they look at you like you've lost the plot.
the only one of those i`ve never seen here is gravy, i don`t think i`ve been to a chip shop here that DOESN`T have peas and curry sauce.

a savannarr.
