Dermot was on Radio 1 and explained that a press launch explaining changes to the show, along with audition dates will be announcd on Monday 20th May.

He said fromwhat he knows no contract for the judges has been signed, however he says he always just knows the day befor auditions. However he does know some of the changest on the show and said it will be more appealing to all lovers of music, whatever he means by that. It will also benefit musicians

What changes are for happening ? Do you think the judges wll be announced then also

The most appealing thing for real music overs would be for this joke to be dropped from the schedules for ever

It is going to be axed, this is the last year in it's current contract and there is no new deal in sight.

Sounds like they will announce Gary, Sharon, Nicole and Louis as the judging team then. 10 days away.

If it is getting axed why would they be on search for new judges (supposedly) and secondly why are people accepting. Surely they would just go on with the 4 from last series and end it after that? If I was asked to be a judge and got told "this will be the last series" I'd tell them where to stuff it, but that is just me.

Do you think Gary will be happy taking a much smaller fee than Sharon? I can't see it myself, like him or not, he's a much bigger player in the World of music than the irrelevant Sharon is, he has got a huge fan base and although I think he's totally charisma free on the panel, I bet he has more people tuning in to watch him than any of the other three put together.

You broke the quotes

Anyway you dislike the show but felt an urge to enter a probable pro x factor thread

Nicole is apparently signing a new 1.5 million deal in the next few days:

They're maybe gonna encourage more people who play guitar/keyboards and write their own songs.

i don`t know if anyone has already seen this? i also didn`t know the closed auditions were actually confirmed to return until Dermot mentions it in this. I assumed they were just rumours, Nice to know they`re coming back though i find them so much better

he talks about the next series at 01:45

All of the people saying it's going to be axed must be on some heavy drugs. While it's ratings slipped last year it still pulls in 3-4x the normal ITV audience on any other given night. Get a grip.

It sounds like they're going to allow bands that play instruments audition. Which will be interesting.

The arena auditions are still there but will replace bootcamp. Not sure how it'll work though.

Is this still on tomorrow then? USA X Factor judges are announced tomorrow, would they really announce the UK judges too? Or is it just the OP trolling again?
Well at the moment, Nicole is in Monaco (she posted a tweet 6 hours ago) so either she has flown back tonight, the judges wont be announced, she isn't on the show, the press conference isn't happening or she won't be at press conference but will be on the show...

One of the five I think

I don't have any more a clue about X Factor salaries than I do yours.

Not sure. There only seems to be a US X Factor one mentioned amongst Digital Spy's news articles on here.
