Hope so. I think it's already clear he has david's 'lifelong fan' enthusiasm which is the most important thing.
David is regularly voted the best doctor of the revived series and I think it is the fact that he was such a fan all his life that gave him the edge over eccleston and smith, which is why I expect good thing's from Capaldi.
