Maybe Cheryl is going then and also it will help her get the exposure she needs to try and crack America the same way she did in the uk through x factor.

It could be someone else different possibly I don't know who but someone not predictable I know sometimes Simon likes to do that.

Yes, I agree with this, keep her in The States, she really isn't missed here, that's for sure.

I don't agree. I don't think the coverage in the US will be huge if she returned. And I don't think there's anything 'shocking' about her returning. Of course, the Uk press will go mad over it, but would the US producers care about that? *shrugs*

There's probably a proportion of US XF viewers who don't remember her brief appearance the first time (a bit like Brian being on the UK show before Louis came back; it's largely been forgotten).

Plus, it's been reported over and over again she might be returning in the UK press, yet I wouldn't say the news has been persistent in the US has it? I wondered if that was why the news kept being leaked - to see if it would create some buzz? I'm not sure it has to be honest.

They had one of the biggest popstars in the world on the show last year and she created alot of media coverage and it did nothing for the show, they maybe realised big names and media coverage don't necessarily mean great ratings. It is the same story with Idol this year, having two huge names on the show in Mariah and Nicki yet ratings are their lowest in a long time.

Oh I agree - Simon should be looking at who's a good judge NOT who is a big name.

And I think Cheryl would do very well over there if she went back.

I was just commenting that I do not think the actual appointment of Cheryl will create headlines and 'shock'. I really don't think it will.

It's been quiet on the Cheryl Front at the moment so I think it will be her.

I think you are right actually come to think of it.

i'll rephrase - they want her to shock

I think she makes a good judge, i'm not sure about her being able to fill Britney's shoes though. I would have thought it would have been demi if anyone but obviously not.
