Google I/O
http://www.engadget.com/2013/05/13/s...iew-google-io/
Android chief says Google I/O will focus on devs, not new products, hmmm hoping for an updated Nexus 7 still. |

Engadget has gone downhill as of late....The new Android boss said "That's not to say there won't be any new Google-branded hardware on show, but Pichai reiterated that "any hardware projects we do will be to push the ecosystem forward" — a "continuation of what we have tried to do with Nexus and Chromebooks."
The Verge has a bit more detail. Tbh I think it would be really surprising if a new Nexus 7 and a minor Nexus 4 refresh didn't show up at this year's I/O. |

We'll I've scraped together enough for a Nexus 7 ( by a miracle
) and I'm hoping for an updated one to be outed at the upcoming conference .I hope it stays at the £159 price if a new one is announced

Google I/O was started in 2008. The "I" and "O" stand for input/output, and "Innovation in the Open". The format of the event is similar to that of the Google Developer Day.

Save a bit more and get an iPad mini. Much better value and a vastly larger tablet app library, among many other advantages.
Nexus 7 16GB - £169 iPad Mini 16GB - £269 It is in fact 59% more expensive. Also there are many things a Nexus 7 can do that an iPad can't. - Multi-user accounts. - Emulators for games consoles and support for PS3/360 controller - Ability to install apps from anywhere To name just a few.... Anyway I don't wanna continue yet another tiresome iOS vs Android debate especially in a thread about the Google I/O. |

I might give the updated nexus 7 another go if it were to get a 1080p display and better colour saturation than the previous version.

Not really just small bits and pieces like enhancements to Google Maps, Google + and so forth. Nothing groundbreaking IMO.
