I'm going to save the act who has the most potential to grow in this competition and brings something original and different to the table.

MFDOOM

Unfortunatly MFDOOM and Tommy were unable to rebound and are unfortunatly been eliminated. Commiserations, you were one of my favourite acts .

This shouldn't come as a surprise to you, but JEWEL/JORDAN & KARIMA FRANCIS/Barry it doesnt end right their for you.

As with the mainstream competition, you are both in danger of being eliminated. We will have a sing-off, which will determine who's in and who's out.

Both of you must send me a PM, in which should be a song which you think will save your act, and also a few words saying why you think you're act deserves to be saved, and how they'll improve through the show.

Once I recieve both songs, I will post them to the thread. I will then open voting, and allow everyone to vote to save one act. Voting will close at the start of the next show, and results before the start of show #3, where the act with the least amount of votes will be eliminated.

Good luck to both of you.

Theme to come in a few.

Indie Live Show 3 Theme: Early

Yes you guessed it, the theme for next week is of course Early. So the opposite of the recent theme, the song you choose must be from early on in their career. So a song from their first album, or EP will suffice. If your act has only one album, you may use a song from the start of that album. But that is only allowed in cases of only one album. Can both and please send me songs for this theme also, as the winner of the sing-off will have to perform aswell.

Heats are no more, with all 17 remaining acts competing directly against each other. There will be a bottom 3, and double elimination next week!

Next weeks show will be as normal for this side of things. So show on Monday 20th May and songs due in on Sunday 19th 7:30PM. Song list will be sent with or without your songs.

Congratulations to everyone who survived tonight, but commiserations to:

Prediction results will be posted shortly.

Quote:
“Karima is an amazing Talent. However, during promotion for the release of her new album, the young singer-songwriter fell ill, putting a halt to her career. For obvious reasons, Karima decided to take some time out.

Although, understandably a tough time, Karima doesn't shy away from discussing the turmoil she experienced within this time. This song displays strength way beyond her years, exploring love, loss and emotive lyrics sure to pull at your heartstrings.

With her striking, powerful voice Francis explored the depths of love, life and romance, bearing her soul, singing the songs just her and the acoustic guitar. Music is about singing from the heart and I ask anyone while listening this they don;t feel the pain and Passion Karima is showing. This is why she should stay in the show, she gives the listener and emotional connection with the song.

“Jewel should be saved simply because she has an amazing back catelogue with millions of genres which you will see if you vote to save her. I honestly believe she deserves this chance to prove herself and earn a spot in the latter half of the contest.

Jewel - intuition

So those are the two sing-off songs, and why their mentors think they should stay. Its now time for you to save one. To vote just send me the name of the act you want to save. You can send this along with your song choices this week, or by themselves. Jordan and Barry you can still vote, and dont forget you two also need to send a song in for the next show, for if you win the battle. Good luck to you both.
