Local News Recording Quirk

I like to see our local news South Today which is on BBC1 at around 1830. I set Series Link and it records seven daily programmes but on the eighth day stops. In the check menu it shows South Today followed by ---- ----- suggesting there are no more episodes. If I try to record the following day's show it does not come up with a series link option until I delete the South Today ---- ----- listing. Then it does indicate series link. I then have to repeat the procedure after another seven days. Doesn't happen with any other programme - what is going on?

It would suggest that the broadcaster uses a different series crid every 7 days.

If it's a Humax HD box you can examine the crids see

Thanks for that, but if the broadcaster does change the code every seven days why would it record for seven days only regardless of my start day, eg Tuesday-Monday, Sunday-Saturday etc.

Maybe the broadcaster is using the episode part of the code to denote a weekday. So Monday is recorded, then next Monday appears as a repeat of the same episode so is not scheduled.
