Heard this the other day and just thought WOW Definitely a big nod to The Back of Love by Echo and the Bunnymen but that is NOT a criticism but just an observation of one great modern band acknowledging a great band of the 80s.

Echo and the Bunnymen meets U2. I think they are getting desperate.

They've become really big on the goth scene, moreso in Europe where this will go down really well. I do think they have been forgotten about here. Another UK band that will be 'big in Germany'.
I was a bit shocked when I heard it first, but it has grown on me. I do hear the Bunnymen/U2 echoes but it is a good slab of alt rock.

EDIT - Yep I know the last album went to number one

I can't deny the U2 meets Echo and the Bunnymen sound.
I have to say I like it for that reason, it does sound quite fresh compared to the stuff I hear on the radio these days. I thought their last stuff was influenced by Joy Division, so at least they have moved on a year or so in their retrospection.

Not something to sneer at really. The European music scene is far more lively & diverse than the narrow range of pre-packaged & micro-managed crap that we get force fed in this country.

I like this song. Sort of lost track of them after buying The Back Room.

I'm glad they seem to have thrown off the electronic sound of In This Light... as I preferred the more classic sound of the first two albums.

I'm liking this new single and I've been waiting for this album for years.

I love it!... but then I love all the previous Editors albums so that's not a major shock. I've already pre-ordered the new album and hoping that I can get to see the band live again when they tour the new record.

I absolutely love this song! I have to turn it up really loud every time it comes on the radio. Yes, I know it sounds like U2, but I don't care, it's such an epic song.

I have the new album The Weight of Your Love now, and I can't stop playing it .( I have the two disc version, which in this case was definitely worth it.) I really like Nothing, Hyena, and The Phone Book. Tom's voice sounds so good on this album. I've always been an Editors fan and I bought their 3 previous albums, but they've never been my absolute favourite band to listen to, which is what they have kind of become for me at the moment. Chris left just when they are making their very best music so far!
