iPlayer for Android

Is there any way this will work?

A new version of the app came out yesterday and it still doesn't work (getting the BBC Media Player prompt even though it is already installed).

Or a workaround? My tablet is running 4.1.1 (Jellybean)

The BBC iPlayer app is 1.6.1.65 and the BBC Media Player is 2.1.0

Never had it running before. The tablet is a VS Touchtab 7DC.

Have you installed flash from the flash version archive?

I found that I had to toggle my browser from desktop to mobile for it to work. I am using Dolphin Beta.

Dolphin Beta won't even load on my tablet it just sticks on the splash screens that tell me how good it is.

If it is a problem at the BBC's end, they don't seem in a rush to fix it.

I watch iPlayer through Firefox beta. Means I can watch in HD. Search the web for instructions on how to install flash on Jellybean, install Firefox beta. When you go to the BBC iPlayer website, tell Firefox to load the desktop version. Much better than the app.

Ha! Dolphin Beta DOES load, you just have to swipe it twice to the right to find the 'Start' button!

If I have the use agent set to iPad, I can get Medium Quality - it looks awful really. I'll try Firefox, cheers.
