These forums are more and more unbelievable - a little bit of controversy in the house, something a little bit different happens, and peope cry failure, blame Endemol and bang nails in the coffin.

If the show hadnt have been spiced up or interesting - which you have to admit Jackie's arrival has done, youd all be saying the same - that Endemol and channel 4 have ruined it.

They cant win. Just enjoy it for Gods sake instead of trying always to the the frist to predict its death so you can be the first to smugly say 'told you so'.

I want to know how this show is a failure when people stay up all night watching it.

Exactly. Its like people want it to go wrong. Im loving it. Tell you what, let's blame Jade as well - thats usually the next line of argument.

I hope more go with her as by way of a two finger salute to the producers. They have so crossed the line by raking up the past to poke fun at. It's insulting and humiliating and certainly makes for uncomfortable viewing. Does jackie even know where she is?

The whole point of Big Brother is your life laid bare for however many weeks. Granted, bringing in the ex mother in law of one of them, who looks like she isn't quite playing with a full deck, is approaching sick, but they're certainly staying in tune with the concept of how little freedom you have in there.

And with evilness. Thats the point. Maybe everyone would be happier if Cameron had have come in in a nice warm woolly pully to make it all cosy.

I agree with you. It's BB getting personal about people and their past - hey have never done that before and to me its unfair. I actually feel sorry for both Jackie and Brigitte - the first because she is obviously barking, and the second because its singling her out for special treatment.

As to whether you enjoy watching it - I suppose it depends on your tastes. If you like car crash TV then you will be fine, otherwise, I'm not sure.

Does anyone watch BB for anything other than car crash telly? Dont tell me people watch it for its educational value?

Germaine was the only reason why I've stuck with the programme so far. Will the producers of Reality TV ever learn that people inside and outside just don't like late entrants coming into the shows. I don't know if Jackie has anything to do with Germaine leaving but I have a feeling it's contributed to her decision in some way.
I think Julie Peasgood was in Emmerdale and Hollyoaks and she's also appeared in quite a few other programmes over the years. I don't think she's any less of a so-called celebrity than most of the others.

Since when has BB and CBB ever been anything other than car crash television? They did far worse manipulation in BB5 which increased the viewing figures and made it a success after the snorathon that was BB4. What is remembered about CBB1 - Vanessa Feltz having a mini nervous breakdown going in there just after her marriage had failed. What is remembered about CBB2 - Les Dennis having a mini nervous breakdown going in there just before his marriage failed. I think compared to that, bringing in your ex-mother in law that you haven't seen in 15 years and who is going to make you look a wonderful human being in comparison to her is not too bad really.

I agree. Its the usual forum hysterics again when something happens to unsettle the balance. But that is what the show is all about. I dont want boredom, I want blood!!!

At least Germaine has/d the b...s to stick to her convictions.

I'm not sure that I will be watching now, it will seem insipid without the extra spice added by Germaine.

Balance and Pamistry you mean. All things being equal, some very intneresting 'balancing' has already taken place.

They have screwed up this time but with this type of show its always a risk. Julie Peasgood is a good laugh and quite gobby so should be ok if she went in. She wouldnt take any rubbish from Lisa.

Wow. You lot really do want peace and quiet. Get rid of a woman type-thing like Jackie, who is pure entertainment and freak show, for someone as insipid as Julie Peasgood. What am i missing here? This isnt Heartbeat!

I don't like the car crash sensationalist aspect. A lot of it is done for headlines in the papers and doesn't make the programme any better.

I watch it for the interaction between people and conversations like the one Germaine was having the other night with Kenzie about his background. I also like the psychology of the nominations and what that does to the relationships. And the bitching.

I'm probably a minority though.

Germaine was the only one I really liked in the house, I won't be watching it as religiously now. She must've left because of a mixture of things, mostly down to her ethics...for instance, the fact they 'parachuted' an 80 year old woman into the house to stir things up with Brigitte.

At least John is talking now and can defend Germaine when possible.

I think the housemates did all like Germaine, but Lisa was probably just threatened that there was someone far more intelligent than her in the house....I remember Lisa's intro tape when she said how she dreads talking about things and it 'going over peoples heads'

Oh yes, I'll miss Lisa's intellectual discussions with Germaine now she has gone.

Maybe Germaine always meant to leave. Perhaps she just wanted to see what it was like for herself but didn't want to participate for the whole show?

No she wasn't. Sorry to be a pedant, but Sue Sullivan (Annie Miles) was pushed to her death at the building site by Barry. Julie Peasgood played Sue's best friend, who was mother to Barry's son Stephen.

I also think Germaine was one of the best in there. How long before Lisa starts bitching about her, there is more to this. I think Germaine last night was doubtful that Brigitte would in fact go and hinted to others about it. Caprice did question Brigitte if this was just to cause drama and she said no once she said something she did it, Caprice said she admired her for it. I wonder if Brigitte is staying now, interested to know what Germaine says now she is out.

Yeah, Germaine isn't bothered about the game, the nominations etc...why should she? And there is no need to make any jibes about her 'not helping the charities', she probably does more for charities and good causes in her own time than the other housemates do combined.

She was obviously just doing it as a means for research, to experience it for herself and come to conclusions.
