Anyone else really enjoying this series so far?

Three episodes in and this series is my favourite since series 4.

Some classic moments so far, Lord Sugar was on fire with the one-liners tonight and lots of contestants who I'm sure will go down as series classics (Zee, Alex, Luisa, Uzma etc.)

The rampant bitchiness of the girls' team also reminds me of the Paul/Shannon/Sayed team from Series 2 - all hated each others guts, formed factions and made for delicious viewing.

Yeah, I'm really liking this. Great characters, good business. S8 was a little dull, and the last two Young Apprentices were good telly, but not particularly pyrotechnic. Suddenly, fireworks. Lots of interesting people. Welcome back, Apprentice.

Exactly.

I'm anticipating the rifts in the girls will grow wider and deeper as the series goes on, and that's what makes a great Apprentice season for me!

Yes, loving it. A welcome return to form after a lacklustre series last year. I honestly think we've had more great moments in the first 3 episodes than we had in the entirety of last series.

Not enjoying it - record it and watch when there's no decent alternative.

It's become a parody of the original - bombastic characters with inflated egos and exaggerated claims, speaking in cliches and sound bites.

By the end of series perhaps 1 will emerge with a suggestion of a business brain - but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Yes, I agree - but it has been that way since series 4 for me. S8 proved that unless you've got Sayed/Badger/tre/hopkins style contestants, real business is boring. have come to appreciate and accept the show for what it is.

I'm the type of person that likes the elimination rounds of shows like Idol, there's something about the delusional thinking they are the best, so I'm loving this series so far.

However my ability to find complete stupidity funny begins to fade around week 3-4, and I end up shouting things like "WHY?? Why is Michael Sophocles still there???".

Then I think back to how the business plans have been pretty run of the mill, and I miss the old days. I loved the US apprentice year when they took candidates who had lost their jobs and gave them a chance, but even that's turned into churning celeb apprentice after celeb apprentice, and the tasks are mostly to do with Trump enterprises. Still though

I am finding myself really enjoying and getting into this one, which tbh i haven't really done since Series 5. Series 6-8 just were all a bit meh, i can barely remember much about them

Yep! It's a fun series so far and the candidates are definitely standing out from the rest.

I'm enjoying it thus far. What I really want is more characters to like though.

For me so far it's the most enjoyable series since series 5. Since then I've felt rather indifferent to the first few episodes, but not this time. I'm looking forward to what's happening next.

well "enjoying" is going a bit too far, I just can't gel with any of the females and wonder who has the job of choosing them - they are a bit stepford wives. I think the winner this year will be one of the men but at the moment haven't worked out which. I'll keep watching because I do like to see who is voted off, and also what sort of mess they make of the projects.

When they talk into mobile phones, i wonder why they hold them horizontal

Very strange... people 'round here don't hold their phones like that

Yeah, I'm really enjoying it so far. Loved Lord Sugar's line this week... "the tidy sidey is multifunctional" "the only good thing about it is that I can wheel it out to the skip"

I am loving it too! So glad I discovered this show last year! Wish I'd started watching earlier, but better late than never!

I have loved this season right from the get go the best part has still got to be when Lord Sugar said "I'm not a man, I'm a lord" that was the standout moment from the first ep!

OMG this series is going amazingly.

the first ep was dominated by Jason and Jaz, two of the funniest candidates of all time.
Then in episode 2 we had the team that couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery!
Then we had the tidy sidey!
Then we had the farm episode-
Followed by tonights cracker!

Next week also looks and sounds Brill - shaping up to be one of the best series yet IMO.

I am enjoying it, the last two have been rather dull.
I like Leah, Rebecca and Myles.
Very much dislike Neil and Kurt, both horrid blokes.
Jordan Jason and Alex are good comedy value, I do wish Natalie Luisa and Francesca represented business women better.

That episode was terrific - no Marrakesh but very very entertaining.
