People say that the candidates were fired at the wrong time in this series and that the baddies went too far in the process. I think this would have been satisfactory:

Nobody can doubt Raef was one of the best that year. Shame he went in week 9!

Thoughts?

I'm currently rewatching that series, and the relief when Sophocles went is almost as great as it was when I saw it the first time. I'd put him at 15th. Poor old Lacy-Brown might have been ok but Sugar would never take on a posh boy like that - which I suspect was Raef's undoing as well, but he should certainly have made the final.

Raef, Lucinda, Sara and Simon should have been in the final, with Raef winning

16) Alex.. Nicholas didn't deserve to go IMO, and Alex weaseled his way out. (I would say Michael for his selling fish to lawyers and thinking he did a good job... but there would've been no kosher chicken incident then).

My top 4 would've been

4) Jenny M (only because Jenny C and Michael should've been fired kosher chicken week).

3) Simon

1&2) Between Lucinda and Raef.

I don't get the love for Simon!

Urgh, Michael should have been fired the first three times he lost, let alone Koshergate, Bridal task, advertising etc. Who I would have fired each week out of the final 3 are as follows:

Week 1: Alex (Ahead of Nicholas and Raef)
Week 2: Jenny C (Ahead of Lucinda and Shazia)
Week 3: Ian (Ahead of Simon and Kevin)
Week 4: Claire and Simon (Ahead of Alex) [Sorry, but Simon deserved to go that task)
Week 5: Jennifer M (Ahead of Lindi and Lucinda)
Week 6: Kevin (Ahead of Sara and Claire)
Week 7: Jenny C and Michael (Ahead of Alex, Claire and Jenny M)
Week 8: Helene and Michael (Ahead of Sara, or just Helene if it was only a single firing)
Week 9: Michael (Ahead of Raef and Claire)
Week 10: Michael (Ahead of Helene and Claire)
Week 11: Alex, Helene and Lee (Alex's performance in the interviews was awful, the worst out of all eight years, imo)
Week 12: Claire & Lee win, Claire Hired.

speaking of rewatchibg, does anyone else hate how series 3 only exists in poor segmented quality? Puts me off watching it

OMG I forgot the bridal show... Michael telling the bride-to-be to make up her own mind about ridiculously priced cake and practically yelling at her was priceless.

Michael is IMO the worst candidate to ever appear, was there any beginning to his talents?

If all the bad guys had been fired so quickly then we wouldn't have had such a fantastic Marrakesh episode.

After that though I would have liked to have seen Helene and Alex get a proper comeuppance and have seen Raef get through to at least the interviews. Doesn't stop it from being one of my favourite series though.
