The Key to Time series

My favorite Classic era series is series 19 - Castrovalva, Four to Doomsday, Kinda, Black Orchid, Earthshock

Of course my perspective is somewhat skewered because it was the series that really caused me to become a massive fan of the show as a kid, so it will always hold a place dear to my heart

eta some honourable mentions:
series 5 (Troughton)
series 7 (Pertwee)
series 13 - 14 (T Baker)
series 26 (McCoy)

I'm surprised there haven't been votes for the Baker/Sladen era yet!

For me,series 7, pertwee and liz shaw in great acting form, scary yet earthbound stories, and some politics thrown in , environmental and anti -war messages. To me this is as great as,say, the David tenant and Donna season, albeit in a different way. Inferno from series 7 I believe to be the best written and acted story ever.

it was a coin toss between 7 and 19. But as I am a fifth Doctor fan. I went for 19.

Castrovalva 9/10
Four To Doomsday 7/10
Kinda 7/10
The Visitation 8/10
Black Orchid 9/10
Earthshock 10/10
Time Flight 5/10

Series average 7.8

Series 7 got an average of 8/10 but Series 19 always has a place in my heart.

Hard to decide between 12,13,14 and The Key To Time.
My 4 favourites.
Gone for 13, only 1 weak story Planet of Evil and that wasn't terrible.

Has to be a Pertwee or Baker series but not sure which.

Probably go with Season 13. Four Classic stories and a couple of Ok ones.

Season 13. Season 14 was pretty good as well. The Tom Baker/Liz Sladen combo worked fantastic.

Gone for 13 although 14 runs it very close.

Also 12, 7, 18 & 19.
5 was awesome shame so much is missing.

Currently I've only watched seasons 19 - 26, but I intend to go back and watch from The War Games up to season 19.
Currently, I have to say Season 26 is the best. The Classic Series really went out on a high.
Battlefield was fairly entertaining, Ghost Light was brilliant, Survival was superb and The Curse of Fenric is one of the best Doctor Who stories I've ever watched.

This is closely followed by Season 21.
I loved Warriors from the Deep (don't really know why it's hated so much. It was bit of fun), The Awakening was strangely brilliant, Frontios was pretty good, Resurrection of the Daleks was brilliant as was Planet of Fire and finally, The Caves of Androzani was simply superb. The best regeneration story I've seen so far.
I tend to ignore the fact the The Twin Dilemma ever existed....

Could have been any Pertwee or Baker series but plumped for 13, the best the show has ever been IMO.

Didn't consider anything from 19 onwards as the show went steadily downhill after Baker left IMO.

It's between series 13 and 14 for me. I opted for 14 because it's the only series where every single story was really good. Series 13 had the below-par The Android Invasion to mar its perfection slightly.

There is no doubt that my favorite was season 26. For one thing, they tried to add mor mystery to the Doctor's character; also, the stories were great! Greatest Show, Fenric, Survival- doesn't get much better than that!
