Depends when the interview was filmed. And even after tonight's episode it's not like the exact nature of Hurt's role or how it fits into the 50th has been revealed.

As much as I'd absolutely love that, why would they announce Hurt, Piper and Tennant but keep Tate a secret?

They only revealed that David and Billie were returning because they were filming on location. Maybe Catherine or Chris have been secretly filming on set

Video/scene same thing was expecting it at the end of the episode .

No it is not. If it was a scene, they would have called it a scene or a clip with both doctors, but the specifically called it a video with Matt and David.

The BBC were very specific the other week about there being a minisode with the prequel, which went up after Nightmare in Silver, if this weeks video was to be actual scene, they would have said scene, minisode, prequel or whatever.

You misunderstood, so they are not to blame.

That was a lovely clip - so nice to see David again - he and Matt seem to get on so well. The 50th is going to be amazing with these two in it, bouncing off each other.
