Think I will go and see it. I do love a bit of Ethan Hawke!

Saw this tonight, quite suprised to see the screening almost full (considering what its up against). Well worth a watch, it was like Assault of Precinct 13 meets The Strangers, quite a short movie aswell so the action & tension never lets up. 7.5/10

Saw this yesterday, I thought it was really good.
A couple of jumpy bits - nothing scary though.
It was a little bit slow to start, but the background was needed anyway.

Saw this yesterday and I thought it was alright, not the best but not the worst. There were a couple of moments when the entire cinema burst into laughter:

And only 2022....But it'll never catch on over here.

Surprisingly good film. 7/10

Could they make a franchise out of this...

It's actually quite logical because it keeps crime low the rest of the year. I can see it happening in my lifetime.

Looking forward to seeing this film. Couldn't help thinking what I would do if there was no such thing as crime for a day.

Go anywhere on the train without paying for a ticket,
Eat a meal in an expensive restaurant and leave without paying.
Smoke a cigarette in public place.
Take all my large rubbish from the garage and fly tip it on the steps of the Town Hall in protest at the two local tips closing.

The list is endless but the reality is I would probably lock myself in my house all day for fear of intruders and thieves.

If this was a real thing, i think it would be mainly looting from shops that would be the biggest crime. Maybe euthanasia as well, but i couldnt see it being a huge killing spree.

I thought about that earlier and you're right, looting/theft would definitely be the biggest crime

The film was diabolical.
I felt like leaving early into the film but I stayed.

It was an alright film, something to pass an hour or so but probably not something I'd be in a hurry to watch again. Cinema was packed which I was quite surprised about

We had the same thought.

Surely everybody would robbing banks, rather than killing people, and I'm willing to bet it wouldn't work in real life...

You and me both. I literally had one hand on my bag and if the son had whined about one more thing, I'd have walked.

Terrible film

It was a decent film, I've seen a hell of a lot worse, the plot was interesting if far-fetched but that's what films are for, some genuinely funny moments that are probably unintentional, and a few jumpy bits, surprisingly the cinema was packed and the ushers had to squeeze everyone in but Orange Wednesday probably helped that.

Decent film with an interesting concept but no, it would not work in real life as some people seem to think it would...

Not to worry, the concept worked fine back when it was the plot in a Star Trek episode... (and likely wasn't new even then)

(weirdly was my first reaction and I even remembered 'Landru' but not much else and couldn't remember the method of victory but if it was a computer then some clever paradox from Spock would have done the trick)

Despite the ridiculous premise (that some reviewers are putting waaaay too much thought into) and the infuriating actions of the dumbass youngest child, i actually found this to be quite enjoyable. It's no classic, but its enjoyable enough.

Good film but as others have said, leave your brain at the door, horror doesn't need to be analysed for its inherent realism.
