Bearded Dragons

20-05-2013
Hi

We are thinking of getting a bearded dragon as a new addition to our household ! Went to view them over weekend, and they have such lovely personalities. We originally went to look at the leopard geko's but they just seem a bit too docile! The Bearded dragons have a bit more "play" in them. The only downside is that they can grow up to 24inches, so would need an extra large vivarium.

Does anyone own one and can recommend them as pets?

Thanks

I don't own them but can highly recommend you join a fb group called macs exotics. Andy (the owner) owns a shop in hull but the site is full of exotics specialists and they are always happy to advise and answer questions from newbies, even if you don't buy from them.

Bearded Dragons are easy to keep, as long as you have all the equipment, and feeding supplements etc..

I'd also join http://www.reptileforums.co.uk/forums/ there's also a UK wide classifieds on there, regular Bearded Dragons are practically given away now, given how many are bred.
