So has anyone had this? And is it as good as all the hype? How much did you pay?

I've had it. The steak was delicious - very tasty and tender - but I wouldn't say that it was massively better than a very good quality but otherwise normal steak. I don't remember what it cost because I didn't pay the bill, but it is pricey. I've also had a Kobe burger, which wasn't all that, to be honest. I've had much better burgers.

I believe there are different grades of fattiness from 1 to 9?

I'd love to try a nice Kobe sirloin with just the right amount of fat and meat.

Yes, £50 for a normal sized steak. It was probably the best steak i've ever had but not sure it was worth the money.

Had a burger at an outdoor event recently. I usually avoid burgers but I'd heard a lot about Wagyu so thought I'd risk it. It was lovely, tasty and none of those bits that make you wonder just what you are really eating. Mike Tindall ( Mr Zara Phillips ) was behind me in the queue and he seemed to enjoy his too.

It's a real favourite of mine but it's expensive. I was lucky to visit Japan when sterling was high against the yen so we ate out very well. I dread to think what the same would cost now.

They also grade tuna in terms of fattiness but I found the really fatty stuff a bit too much for my western palate.
