Oh right. Just bringing this over from the end of the last thread incase anyone can answer bit in bold...

_____________

I don't think Trevor is at all the kind of guy JP would go for so I doubt there's a relationship in the offing. Plus, gay gangster storyline is a bit too close to Brendan. I think James was just teasing about whether or not it was going to be a love interest.

But good spot on the Twitter follows. Whether it's through JP or Ste, it still looks like Doug's involved via either direction, which may be why they had him come back from America to be part of this storyline alongside JP.

Been wondering, I get the feeling Emma Smithwick actually might have intended Doug to leave for good when he left Ste to go be with Brendan at the airport but Bryan Kirkwood had other ideas as he returned after Bryan took full series producer control. I think PJ and Emma had some sort of fall out or something, but not sure what. Anyone know?

Happy thread everyone! *O*
Perfect gif choice Mojo

ETA: Littlegirl I was gonna reply to you and the my laptop deleted everything Anyway, I don't think they ever planned for him to leave. That being said, I don't think BK has any big plans for him either. PJ hasn't done an interview in ages and I can't see him doing anything more than being JP's f*ck buddy and Leanne's only friend once a week in the next few months.
I don't know about him and Emma.

I will never tire of watching that.

ETA: Here's the Sinead/Diane thing I remembered reading.

I've watched so many times and try and focus on a different cast member each time - Dirk (David's his name I think) and Wallis are great and Neil holds up one finger at one point

I don't know about having BIG plans but it looks like Emma had one idea but Bryan just rubbed it out quite quickly.

The fall out seemed to have something to do with Twitter. She unfollowed him but didn't unfollow anyone else from the show and there seemed to be a reason. That was shortly after her name disappeared from the credits. Never knew what it was about.

I love Nick's reaction especially. Kieron's open mouth is also so, so good.

The Mirror was worse (although it was Kevin O'Sullivan and he's a horrible little man), it was like they were speaking for all the ADL brigade.

Oh I can only imagine. My God, what a bunch of bitter little shits. The fact that they're all so angry makes me happy, but at the same time it's really hard to see wonderful actresses like Claire getting trashed. They're not worthy of licking her shoes, let alone take the piss out of her or anyone else.

Also, do we wanna talk about this?
"Corrie’s storyline about Kirsty, Tyrone and Fiz was the big winner of the evening.

It was somewhat awkward that it should win the BEST STORYLINE and BEST VILLAIN awards for something connected with the subject of abuse though."

Are these people actually insane? o.O Since when you can't give awards to a dark storyline? Especially the "Best Villain" one?!?
I surprised they didn't say anything about Stendan if that's what they think.

They're always snobby though at least the mail took little digs at other soap actors. I've seen worse from certain gossip writers. It really does annoy though.

I think what was meant by that, was what Natalie said on stage. It's a grey area outwardly calling Kirsty a villain considering the topic of abuse behind it. It's no different to the reasoning that I don't like Brendan to be called a villain due to the abuse side of things, but his extra curricular activities.

Not sure if that makes sense.

I see the press have barely mentioned hollyoaks' success

Just read the Kevin o Sullivan blog, how rude is he!? Clearly the hollyoaks stars are well known enough to win awards. Press bias makes me so annoyed

Is that from the DM article? I closed the page after rolling my eyes reading the line about Phillip Schofield "bizarrely" announcing the names of each of the soaps. It's the f*cking soap awards.

That person's a moron.

They did! They sarcastically called Ste and Brendan's love "moving" because "Ste loves Brendan because Brendan beats him up so often."
