Actor replacements in movie series
Was just thinking about this as I discovered the new Jack Ryan movie.
I think the role has now been played by four actors.
Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Afleck with Chris Pine being in the new movie.
What other actors have replaced another in a film series?
I guess the Bond's are the most well knows.
I think we can missout reboots otherwise we could be here forever

As was the par of george mcfly.
Ghost Anakin Sywalker; originally played by Sebastian Shaw in Return of the Jedi, replaced by plank of wood...in the same movie.
Hank McCoy, played by Steve Bacic in X-Men 2, replaced by Kelsey Grammer in X3.
And Richard Harris / Michael Gambon in Harry Potter of course.
Don Cheadle replaced Terrence Howard in Iron Man 2
The Hulk has gone from Eric Bana to Edward Norton to Mark Ruffalo
Batman - Keaton, Kilmer, Clooney
The Dumbledore change, necessary though it was, was the worst for me. Gambon, great actor that he is, just wasn't Dumbledore. Richard Harris was perfect in the role. If he had filmed the death scene rather than MG it would have been heartbreaking rather than just a little sad (IMHO)
I agree. Gambon is a terrific actor but he didn't have the spark or the gravitas that Harris had in the role.

They've done a fair bit of re-casting for the 'Sin City' sequel, 'Sin City: A Dame To Kill For'. Jeremy Piven replaces Michael Madsen as Bob, Jamie Chung replaces Devon Aoki as Miho and due to Michael Clarke Duncan's untimely death, Dennis Haysbert takes over the role of Manute. Not sure who's replacing Brittany Murphy as Shellie though, assuming that character's still going to be in it?
Ironicaly Mcdowall was brought back to play Cornelius in the third installment and would make Apes movies his career as he played his own son Caesar in the rest of the movies and a similar character Galen in the TV series.
