Healthy treats

Has anyone got any favourite treats that are also really healthy/ low in calories.

My two faves are sugar-free orange jelly pots and Muller Light Greek style pots.

However, I am getting a bit bored of them and thought there might be some healthy food fans willing to share some ideas?

I'm a big fan of Oykos Pear Yoghurt. I love dried prunes too but tinned are yummy with custard.

I'm not a big sweet tooth so those would be my sweet treats.

I thought the muller lights pots were high in sugar?

They have lots of sweetener and about 90 cals a pot. Not healthy particularly, but tasty and nice when you are counting calories.

Can of worms maybe? Bet they're healthy

Seriously though, yesterday I bought some of the Chicago Town mini pizzas (ham & pineapple). Before you all call me a stark raving mad lunatic, I would regard them as a relatively healthy treat, so long as you just have one of them. They have 402 cals each and of the 14.4g of fat, only 4.5g of that is saturated. Good bit of protein as well (16.2g). Not exactly brimming full of vitamins/minerals but should be some lycopene in the sauce, tryptophan in the cheese and benefits in the ham and pineapple (albeit tiny...).

Depends just how 'healthy' you wanna be I suppose. I rarely find that the words 'healthy' and 'treat' belong in the same sentence though!

Going a bit off-topic because my next suggestion isn't healthy at all, but I just wanted to add that I also bought 10 mini ice-cream Snickers as well and they are only 85 calories each, again fine if you're just having one or on a diet. But not healthy with regard to their nutritional value.

Both the pizzas and mini Snickers ice-creams are on offer at Tesco. Typical really, always unhealthy stuff on offer!!

Some dried fruit can be nice e.g. apricots, dates (which are particularly sticky and toffee like!)

I loathe bananas with a passion. Mini snickers ice creams, great idea.

Dried fruit (unsulphered)
NAKD bars (seriously delicious, and they count towards your five a day).
Peanut butter sandwiches with either sugar-free jam or mashed banana. Gorgeous!
Dark chocolate
Olives

Sorry, I really should have been more specific here. Most types of peanut butter are a no go, as they have the added sugar and nasty fats, but the natural offerings are pretty good for you. The Whole Earth variety is the best, although maybe a tad expensive.

I also like cottage cheese with chives and onion
Sliced tomato with pepper
Pickled beet root
Water crackers with veggie pâté (tartex is best)
Stewed unsweetened rhubarb
The little porridge pots you just add water to
Celery sticks with low fat salad cream

natural live yoghurt (full fat) with berries. (better for you than that low fat stuff pumped full of sweetners and other rubbish)

Is the Kelkin one okay? That's the one I usually buy. The non organic ones taste really sweet.

This is usually my go-to treat. Sometimes with a few shavings of good dark chocolate.

A square or two of dark choc, I prefer 85% cocoa solids
