Ok boys and girls, knee-jerk reaction time. We've seen the launch events for Sony and Microsoft's next-gen consoles.

Obviously, theres much more to come at E3 but first impressions count. So, at this early stage what would you go for?

I have pre-ordered an Xbox One - the footage of Forza 5 was enough, and the new Remedy game, however the news on used games isn't good imo.

Ps4 all the way, the xbox one looks like a beta max recorder

Sony has great exclusives and is more what i want from my console.

The news on used games really pisses me off. The PS4 won't have that right?

PlayStation 4 for me. I will get one at launch if I manage to clear most of my current PS3 game backlog in the coming months.

PS4 all the way. Simply because it's built to be a games system. Simple and powerful 8GB!

If I was to revert back to a Console the Xbox One failed tonight so PS4.

Oh and if they were to make Heavy Rain 2 I'd buy one

PS4. Pretty much the same specs as Xbox One nothing stands out as being better. Been with PlayStation since the beginning I see no reason to change now.

PS4.

The Xbox One (hate the name) is much more US centric. They didn't announce any deals at all about the media streaming but I don't think it will transfer to the UK with Freeview/Sky/Virgin ect.

Hopefully E3 will shed more light on media streaming on both consoles.

The way I'm going might be for a Wii U instead.

I am leaning towards the PS4 at the moment. I rely on the 2nd hand market and discounts as I very rarely pay full price. That's if there is a lockout on the Xbox.

I will wait for the full facts and figures first.

I'm going for the PS4 the used games fee has really put myself and my husband off getting the Xbox, by the way it's worded if we had a game if my husband played it on his username, then I wanted to play it on mine then I would have to pay a fee to play it, that to me just doesn't sound right.

Whereas Sony haven't put anything like this in place, it also seems like Microsoft are putting the gaming second and just wanting to make an all round entertainment system whereas in my opinion if your buying an Xbox your doing it for the games not to stream Netflix or watch a bluray as a primary function.

Microsoft really shot themselves with the used games fee. Will probably lose quite a few sales because of that.

PS4 for me, probably.

The used games news killed the Xbox one for me

I'd always be getting the PS4 at launch and would of bought the Xbox One when it was cheaper but now i probably won't buy it at all

Most likely both. There will always end up being a game I really want to play that is an exclusive to one of the consoles. So far from what I seen, the PS4 has got my attention the most though.

I'm not sure I understand the Used Game fee.. How I understand it is that two friends could go out and buy FIFA for 40, say the activation fee is 5 or 10, that takes the cost of the game up to 45-50 meaning each player could pay just 25 for FIFA because you dont need the disk to play the game, it can be stored on the hard drive, one keeps the disk and one plays the HD version?

Surely that means people get a decent deal? This all depends on the activation fee being that small which it probably wont be
