BIG Brother contestants will face an unusual challenge when the show kicks off next month – an eco-friendly reality house where they must grow their own food.

Emma looks so much like Davina in that promo picture.

sounds good.
some of the best footage can be people who have never stepped foot near anything like this trying to do it.

Rylan still doing that stupid 'duckface' I see!

Sounds good to me! Glad to see they're doing something a bit different this year with the house. It's looked so tacky and set like the last few series.

Is this the first time we're seeing this promo pic??

What is Rylan doing there? It just looks so wrong. However - this sounds amazing. Ohh I have such a good feeling about this year. I really hope I'm not proved wrong.

The last "grown your own food" BB was BB4. Is that the basics they are returning to?

Hopefully "evil mind games" will not mean the usal naff nomination fixing. Let the housemates create the drama.

Think it means more tasks that psychologically test them, or fiddle with dynamics, and challenge friendships/put rivals together etc.

I like the idea of the eco thing but it could easily be yet another blown up headline when in reality they just have to recycle all their stuff and grow a few vegetables...

Still no word on what the two doors signify.

Interesting to see that they haven't printed the story in the Daily Star

I'm sure the housemates will get their customary takeaways every other day...

It can't be for every meal though? Probably just a few sly Veg for their meal.

They did a similar green themed garden in BB8, iirc they collected rain water that could be used to water the garden. BB4 and 8.. not looking good

Maybe they should reintroduce the chickens, and a mangle.

The hm's will have a few carrots to look after which they won't bother to water and the whole thing will be forgotten about by week 2.

Let's not forget hm's these days don' t even have to bother doing tasks because they know they'll get takeaways and booze anyway.

This has reminded me of Jon Tickle watering the garden, with the hose pipe while singing.

I dont mind growing food or making bread but f*ck the chickens,i hated them and it was for me part of the most boring era of BB..who seriously cares about chickens called marjory or hms who have a fetish for talking to chickens.

Besides that would be completely ripping of ch4s earlier versions of the show..i expect 5 to bring a show that has its own vision of the show rather than trying to replicate BB1-4.

A classic BB moment. That came to mind for me too.

Sounds great.

Part of their attempt to move the show slightly upmarket? The Express covered the other C5 series too but nothing the Daily Star didn't also cover and any exclusives were of the media / broadcasting kind rather than details of the show itself.

Im sure I remember an eco theme on BBAUS in the past,or was it our BB where they had to collect rain water in barrels

Gives them something to do I suppose, instead of waiting around expecting BB to give them something to do

Hopefully BB will push them a bit harder with tasks at long last and not give them treats they don't deserve if they fail

Following the eco theme - maybe one door to evict, one door to 'recycle' a housemate?
