I dont mind growing food or making bread but f*ck the chickens,i hated them and it was for me part of the most boring era of BB..who seriously cares about chickens called marjory or hms who have a fetish for talking to chickens.

Besides that would be completely ripping of ch4s earlier versions of the show..i expect 5 to bring a show that has its own vision of the show rather than trying to replicate BB1-4.
Sounds from the article like their going for a mix of the two pre-BB8 eras of the show.

I'm pretty sure they grew their own vegetables in BB9 as well.

“As the housemates enter they will be greeted by a huge wall containing recycled life-size front doors. But what do they signify – and what lies behind them?
From the screen grabs that people put on here when the first promo was shown on TV, we could see what looked like doors all over this year's eye.

Housemates will be subjected to twists and tough tasks, leaving them wondering who to trust. The insider said: “It won’t be a walk in the park. Expect a summer of hell in the home from hell.”
I do want BB to be tougher on the HMs, but only really when they need to be punished for breaking the rules and for them to stop having parties all the time. I don't want them to be evil just for the sake of it. I want to see the HMs getting along naturally, with BB not telling them who has said what about them.

This sounds different and interesting to the UK version which can only be good in my opinion.

It does read like that doesnt it.
Its not a bad thing for us as viewers i guess seeing as all my fav series were pre BB8..Merging the 2 eras together may give it a different feel.
I always get excited when a new series of BB is about to start but this time I am really excited for this series more than any for many years .

What is Rylan doing there? It just looks so wrong. However - this sounds amazing. Ohh I have such a good feeling about this year. I really hope I'm not proved wrong.
I'm optimistic about this year too - I wasn't for the last 2 series. Though I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high.

This will put a stop to the endless luxuries i hope!

If they don't grow or bake- they don't get, simple as that!

Evil BB has returned hopefully!

Absoutely buzzing for this series with this news. I really hope they have to grow vegetables and other such stuff which they have to add to any dinner meals etc. Is this being put in to try and stop them from hanging about more than they need to?

I hope it doesn't effect the little conversations you sometimes get, perhaps it might add to them? With annoyance of it and all.

It's funny the little details that stick with you isn't it? - I always remember them having to bake their own bread and it often leading to one-on one chats between housemates that you wouldn't necessarily get otherwise. Maybe we'll get that again this year.

Really starting to get excited about this year's BB - even if I don't end up liking all the changes i'm just glad they're shaking it up a bit and trying something different.

BB5 was supposedly the evil one and that was the year they ditched the vegetable garden.

I hope they don't stop at just growing some veg. Take away their deodorants/ hairspray etc, and give them no pool but a pig sty.

Chances are though BB will give them a bottle of booze for every carrot, a party for every potato, and a pack of cigs for every blade of watercress they grow.

Thats about all they will have is cress in the time they are there, there isnt time to grow anything else, unless BB planted up weeks ago, with the cold snap most veg was late going in so will be late coming out.
