You can watch Heart and Capital online already.
This is just a gimmick linking it in with the red button. Also it's not the full line up of channels. Many with Freeview already have FTA Sky or Freesat too. And it's a desperate move as the music channel viewing figures are tumbling. It might not seen economical sense for another music channel on the EPG but should The Box replace say C4+1 it would instantly beat the likes of VIVA and become one of the highest rated music channels. |

Does the button appear for anyone with a Humax HDR FOX T2?

It doesn't work here... I half expected that because it's a 2010 TV (Sports Tonight works though), however the way it fails is that the MHEG stops responding to button presses and the video never starts, so I think it's something in the MHEG causing the interpreter to crash.
Hopefully this can be fixed, as these channels are actually worthwhile! |

Any problems, Arqiva says to contact the manufacturer. I have done wrt Panasonic (but haven't had a response), although I strongly suspect the problem is with the MHEG rather than the receiver.
Still, doesn't hurt to bombard the manufacturers with complaints, which hopefully will cause them to work with Arqiva to fix the problem. |

Just for everybody's information, YouView boxes are not Freeview HD boxes as they do not comply with the D-Book which requires those FVHD boxes undergoing testing from April 2011 to receive MHEG-IC.
YouView does not use this protocol so, even though they display UK HD transmissions, they cannot receive the current IPTV services on the Freeview EPG. The situation is likely to change as Arqiva have purchased Connect TV and are shareholders in YouView. This will more likely be a change to Connect's portals to detect which type of box you have and therefore which stream to connect to rather than a change to the protocols used by YouView (they refuse to specify on the support forum except that they "hope" they will be HbbTV "compatible" sometime this year but this does not seem to be connected with the improvements being introduced by BT initially for their BT YouView customers.) |

My 2012 Samsung TV is capable of receiving the xtra IPTV channels from Box/4Music, and the other IPTV channels from Connect/Vision except for channel The SPACE.
Is there a difference on how these channels broadcast (apart from box/4music being accesible via red button) ? |

Works fine on my Panasonic P50ST50B. Takes a while to actually load the channels though, which is a bit crap considering I have the TV connected to my 80 Mbps broadband (wired) and the TV is a 2012 model.

slightly o/t but is anyone else having problems watching the Bauer channels online? It just says:
"Oh No! There's been a problem retrieving the programme guide! Please try another channel and try later" |

Working fine on my Samsung Smart TV connected with a Samsung dongle to my wi-fi. Loads pretty quick and the picture quality is pretty good. Only problem is 4:3 channels Kerrang and The Box are permanently stretched to 16:9.

Area? It's available for everyone that can receive them.
As long as your TV or STB for Freeview is connected to your home internet in some form, then you just press red whilst watching 4 Music and away you go. |

I have this LG tv connected to BT Infinity via wifi and the channels are working fine now. Magic is looking particularly good - far better than via my Sky HD box.
