I quite like the sound of this. I always enjoy it when there is a secret element involved, secret rooms or trap doors or something to that effect.

Could well have originated elsewhere, but they are probably more aware of it as it was on the Australian one last year.

It did, BB France years ago, there's no doubt that they are more influenced by BBAUS, probably after seeing all the positiive discussion of it here last year, but they'll have known of it's existence in France for years as there's an annual conference for the heads of each version to exchange ideas etc.

I don't want to see ideas from Big Brother Australia or France all thrown into our show. We should be looking for our own ideas IMO and make it feel like a Big Brother UK series.

13th June now I am hearing for launch night.

Well who knows, Channel 5 could add there own ideas into the secrets & lies part of the show

Im really excited for this Big Brother and im excited to see Emma host, Big Brother just suits a female presenter

To be fair,we should not be watching other countries versions so the ideas should seem and will seem new to many viewers.

Endemol use the same tasks and twists all around the world.
I watch BBAUS,BB Israel,and BBUK and they have always had the same plots and twists..even BB Canada just used the yes task.
Given how many countries have BB its no wonder they often share the same twist,theme,tasks and just adapt them to suit .

Even in the ch4 years BB had tasks/twists that had already played out in other countries.
It works both ways,they also use tasks/twists that were first seen in UK.

Very interesting, if they've changed the title of BB14 to 'Big Brother: Secrets & Lies' then they must be quite serious about the twist then (which will probably affect the whole series).Even the newly released promo has it as 'Big Brother: Secrets & Lies' instead of just BB. I'm very intrigued.

Love the new name and theme for this year but do you not think that some casual viewers will think that its a spinoff being called 'Secrets and Lies' especially as Emma has taken the presenting role.
I just want as many people to see this as possible

This is quite exciting. I know people like having them different. But i would love if they done some of USA's format. like the POV.
