I start, Did you enjoy your time in the Big Brother house?

Yes,

I think I am one of the few who doesn't regret going on! That's the primary reason I am still happy to go to BBBots; I like to stay part of the show because it was such a major point in my life.

Perhaps inadvertently, it was a turning point also. I've found myself more professionally focused since. I liken BB to my "year travelling."

Were you surprised that you didn't make the final day over quieter housemates like Louise & Jay?

If you could have been a contestant in any other series which would it be and why?

Also who do you think you would have got on with from that given series

Interesting!

I actually wasn't. I knew from the offset Jay would be popular, his brand of hyper masculinity mixed with his sensitive side made him appealing to both males and females. From what I have watched I'm not shocked as he was featured heavily. However, from what I "lived" I suppose I was slightly. Jay spent a lot of time sleeping. However, it was obvious he was liked due to being saved etc.

Louise was always very sincere and genuine in the house. I would say out of the Top 5 she was the least "character". However, she was very sincere and in her words "normal." Alongside Alex and I, she was the most active during the day too. felt like she would be well liked due to her down to earth nature. Oh and her looks!

I had an inkling for some time that I wasn't going to win, despite the protests of many of my housemates. The breaking point was the day of the makeovers. Aaron and Jay had been given cigarettes (again). I asked to use the hairdryer and they said "No" and I flipped as I had never asked for anything. Then I was given those questions in the DR and chastised BB for rubbish questions. I think they struggled to stereotype me into a role and therefore I served as background fodder

It's hard to say.

As a viewer, I loved BB7. I think I would have gotten on well with Pete, Nikki et al.

Cool final one for today from me.

Last year Aaron claimed 4 of your fellow housemates had attemoted suicide or self harm. Obviously asking for names is insensitive and pointless but to the best of your knowledge do you know this to be true? Or was this Aaron with some kind if vendetta?

Hi Tom

A lot of people on the forums are currently speculating on start dates and housemates in hiding.

Can you tell me: How long before the start date did you know?
How long before BB started were you confirmed to be a housemate?
How long before BB started and for how long did you go into hiding?
What did you do in hiding? where did you go? was it boring? etc.

Sorry about loads of questions.

I can only speak from my personal opinion/experience. I'm in touch with quite a few of the housemates and for those I know that is not the case. However, Aaron may have contact with others, so I couldn't label what he said as false either. I do remember hearing at the time and thinking it was a tacky thing to announce but each to their own

Hope you don't mind if I ask a few more question throughout the course of this thread (I love hearing about the housemates insights during their time in the house).

On Launch Night, after seeing your fellow housemates, did you think you would make it til the very end? (nearly). If not, who did you see as potential front-runners after first impressions?

I was on holiday when I got the call, so about 2 weeks before the launch.

About a week before, I went into hiding. However, I nearly pulled out!

You are chaperoned and basically just chill for a week. I didn't find it boring as I had a lovely chaperone who liked to get out and about.

I thought I could win. I thought I'm reasonably intelligent, witty, personable and completely different to the other males. I didn't really contemplate that it took more than being likeable.

I thought Mark, Alex, Heaven and myself.

How exactly do they "hide" you? Are you taken to a foreign country or something?

Also what exactly do they do with you on launch day? Did you honestly step out of the eye not knowing anything about the series or seeing anyone for days?

Again, I don't know about this year. I was on the outskirts of London.

Yeah my chaperone was friendly but did his job well. I had no clue about Pamela or any of the housemates. Although Faye said she seen me getting the train and knew I was going on the show. I'd met Jem at the auditions as well

With regards to popularity and likeability, were you surprised with any of the eviction results? What effect did this have on you and the other housemates behaviour in general?

Tom, I thought you were one of the more interesting housemates in BB12 and totally agree with them not knowing how to portray you. I did enjoy the series but it came across as very set up. I'd love to know if it felt more set up while you were in the house. Did they ever try to interfere with arguments and the relationships?

Was there anything major that you think people should have seen/known about but never did?

Also how do you feel about the changes this year - Brian fired, Emma promoted, back to basics, darker, less over-the-top campness...

Hello, Tom! You were one of my favourites in your series, I would have loved to see you in the final.

I just wondered which housemates you've remained in touch / friends with?

I was pretty surprised Aaron survived Week 2, following the drama that occurred.

Also, I was surprised Heaven was evicted.

Who was evicted/saved never bothered me. I was pretty forthright in who I liked/disliked, to pander to anyone's popularity.

Tom,
What is your opinion of the editing of your series? Looking back, is there any housemate you think was given a bad edit or you felt was overly protected by the edit?

Hello Tom. In your BB Gossip interview you said that every housemate plays games including yourself. I'd be interested to know what gameplaying you did.

Honestly, and I think this has been backed up by other housemates I would say myself. After the series, I watched a good portion and was surprised at how little I was shown. Out of interest, did anyone here question why so many housemates thought I would win?

Alex was never shown to have a conversation; which I put down to easy storytelling.

Also, Harry should have been edited in more heavily.

I think Jay was protected over the shit. Alas, it would have resulted in his removal, which I didn't feel was necessary.

When I said that, I was referring to things like nominations. Occasionally, with my second nomination I would struggle so I would pick someone I knew would get votes. Also, sometime you hold you tongue but you do that in life; it's just social awareness. However, I never felt the need to "gameplay" as I was well liked.

Thanks bab!

Obviously I'm with Alex.

I speak to Mark, Harry, Anton and occasionally Aden, Heaven and Jem

I think if we weren't able to see all the bookies odds and whatnot, then you probably would've been the one we would've presumed would win. Likeable, funny, charming young lads usually do well with fans, but it was a case of airtime which put others ahead of you.

Would you ever do a 'Big Brother: All Stars' series if you were asked to do BB again? What would you do differently?

In my experience, they didn't interfere. Although towards the end I think they wanted to push Alex and I as a "house couple" as I think the others had run their courses as stories, inside the house.

Maybe Jay and the freezer. I also think you missed out on a lot of house dynamics. Using myself as an example I don't think the viewers knew how close I was to Mark or Harry or Anton. Also, I don't think you seen the extent to which I stook up for Heaven.

I liked Brian, he was always very gracious and pleasant towards me. Emma is lovely too, and I think she'll do a brilliant job on the main show. Change is good, so hopefully the more stressful basic environment will conjure some interesting TV!
