Jonathans cult hero status rather than mainstream adulation just adds to the magic for me, it's like being in an elite society, nice to meet a fellow member!

I became a fan as my mate Ivor is completely nuts about him..he stopped Richman on the way to the stage one night when he was playing the Limelight in Belfast!

Mine is Neil Young's HARVEST.

Every single song on 'Harvest' is masterful. Honestly, not a single note is wasted anywhere.

"Heart of gold" remains Young's masterpiece.

Gentle yet rough, simple yet intricate, immediately likeable but with much to gain from every listen; this is the benchmark and definition of what a classic actually is.

What is yours?”

In terms of albums where there is no bad song, so to speak.

Simple Minds - New Gold Dream
Kleeer - Seeekret
The System - Xperiment
Janet Jackson - Control (The Remixes)
Japan - Quiet Life
Teardrop Explodes - Kilimanjaro

Just not my cup of tea really, I don't think its awful - I'm just a bit puzzled by all of the acclaim it gets.

Probably something to do with a girl I went out with at the time playing it 24/7 as well - familiarity breeds contempt etc - maybe if I had heard less of it I would like it more.
