Two of her best efforts and both great pop albums but which do you think is better?

For me GGGB is as good now as when first released had killer singles and album tracks alike and was the album that made her a superstar. It's overall more consistent more varied and has a better overall quality. Loud suffers from what Rihannas albums mostly do these days it feels rushed and has dated quickly with onlya few songs standing out still.

So whats your favourite ?

GGGB definitely. I loved how she completely came out of nowhere with that album. If you'd told me that the girl who sang Pon De Replay would be one of the biggest popstars on the planet in seven years time, I would not have believed it lol. And it contained Breakin' Dishes, which still angers me to this day that it wasn't released as a single!

Definitely without it she wouldhave ended up on the scrapheap like Christina Milian and Ciara this totally chnaged her career. Wasalways annoyed with the reloaded but it gave us Disturbia so not too angry. And yeah for me singles were perfectly picked but GGB, Breaking Dishes should have had a shot buut with the re-release wasn't going to happen was it imean she milked the campaign for 8 after all

Both amazing albums but I can never tire of GGGB, almost every song (except Say It which is just blehhhhh). Album tracks like GGGB, Breakin Dishes and Sell Me Candy could've been singles but oh we'll. Whereas Loud is still amazing but after time has lost some of its magic. However Only Girl, WMN, Skin, Fading and S&M are still amazing tracks.

I personally think Rated R is her best effort by far, however in response to the OP's question, it's quite tough to decide. Think I might have to go with Loud though! Simply because I love every track minus Complicated. Though GGGB is still a solid effort and really was the start of her path to becoming the juggernaut she is today.

I think Loud is her best album with Rated R a close second.

Good Girl Gone Bad ...became a better album with later new editions such as Disturbia and included remixes on i think a platinum edition of the album.

Loud is my favourite album of hers - Only Girl in the World, What's My Name, Man Down, Complicated, Raining Men, Love the Way you Lie and Cheers being my faves

Good Girl Gone Bad was good but i think it suffered from being too heavily promoted and got a bit boring quite quickly...still love Don't Stop The Music, Umbrella and Disturbia though

I agree Rated R is her best GGGB second simply as its her best ''pop'' effort really consistent and hasn't dated in the short space that Loud has.

Loud is my fave followed by GGGB. Not keen on Rated R at all. Don't get the love for it.

Am I the only one who likes Talk That Talk a lot? I really think it's a great album, it does feel somewhat rushed, but the songs are really catchy, and her voice sounds much better than it does on Unapologetic.

Anyway, I'd go with Loud. It's one of her best albums. Man Down and California King Bed are two of her best songs, ever.

Umbrella
Good Girl Gone Bad Vs S&M
Push Up On Me Vs What's My Name
Don't Stop the Music Vs Cheers (Drink to That)
Breakin' Dishes Vs Fading
Shut Up and Drive Vs Only Girl (In the World)
Hate That I Love You Vs California King Bed
Say It Vs Man Down
Sell Me Candy Vs Raining Men
Lemme Get That Vs Complicated
Rehab Vs Skin
Question Existing Vs Love the Way You Lie II

GGGB - 5 // Loud - 7

I'm surprised, I pressumed that GGGB would come out on top for me! I didn't include Reloaded's tracks because I thought it should be judged on the original CD. Umbrella wasn't matched up because there was an uneven match (11 to 12) and it likely would have won anyways.

The singles from GGGB are probably better than all of Loud, but barring one or two big exceptions, the album tracks aren't all that great imo.

For some reason no I have a feeling new studio say match next year and GH probably for her 10 year celebration in 2015

And in terms of tracks I think the best songs on Loud far outweigh the best on GGGB but overall GGGB has not consistently good tracks and less filler as Louds stand ours are its singles

It used to be Loud for me but I recently listened to GGGB again and realised it's more consistent and memorable as a whole. While Loud has some of my favourite Rihanna songs (WMN, LTWYL, OGITW, Man Down) I feel like GGGB beats it when you compare the albums as a whole.

My personal ranking of her albums goes:

1. Rated R.
2. Good Girl Gone Bad.
3. Loud.
4. Unapologetic.
5. Talk That Talk.
6. A Girl Like Me.
7. Music Of The Sun.

TTT for me is a lways a dissapointment as i can see how great it could have been had she given it more time. The first 5 6 songs are amazing and outweigh Loud and it is sonically more interesting and has a better overall sound. But its rushed she packe don filler and feels fractious and not consistent or like a solid piece liek an album should do and i rank it 6th

I've always preferred GGGB to Loud though I like some of the tracks on the latter. I'm not as big of a fan as I used to be. I quite like Rated R though, with the exception of Rude Boy.

I didn't like GGGB. I think it's far from her best album although it did have some of her best singles to date.

I'd say Loud is better than GGGB but Talk That Talk, Rated R and Unapologetic are better than both.

I much prefer Good Girl Gone Bad to Loud, although Loud has some great songs on it. Rated R is my favourite Rihanna album overall though.

Her first two albums never seem to get mentioned much though. Many talk as if GGGB was her first album! I think A Girl LIke Me is a pretty damn good album, lots of songs I love on that one.

Good Girl Gone Bad. I love this pop-r&b sound it has. Loud for me was just to in your face sexually.

===Favorite tracks===
Umbrella
Don't Stop the Music
Breakin' Dishes
Shut Up and Drive
Hate That I Love You
Rehab

Completely agree with your first paragraph, I much prefer 'Good Girl Gone Bad', though 'Rated R' is my favourite. 'Loud' would come in third place for me probably.

As for her first two albums, I think they don't get mentioned much because they just aren't as good - before 'GGGB' she was just a generic pop/R'n'B singer with little personality and a couple of good singles. 'A Girl Like Me' has its moments but still doesn't compare to her later albums for me (even the weaker ones like 'Talk That Talk'). And 'Music of the Sun' is just full of third-rate generic R'n'B filler, except for the singles and 'Let Me'.
