LSD.
A chilly morning. Soon be warm. Feeling great. On top form. Ice warning on the dash'. Ages since my big crash. Engine purring perfectly. Tyres cold as cold can be. Sliding as I pull away. I could do this all day. Gingerly around turn one. Almost sideways. Too much fun. Gently Bentley on the throttle. Next lap? More bottle. The feeling down the first straight. Impossible to overstate the thrill of driving very fast. Machine and I, alone at last. Other drivers turning up. Practising for the cup. All hoping for the win. Suddenly I'm in a spin, then drifting sideways in fresh snow. Could be needing a tow. Managing to get a grip. Mainly thanks to Limited Slip Differential rear wheel drive. Happy to be alive. |

I must admit, I assumed this was a poem about drugs John - but it had a good twist in it I liked the 'gently Bentley' rhyme too

To a Woman
No eyes were ever greener, Where realms of coral lie I see you as Athena And tempting Lorelei. I'll make the sky a palace And you can walk its floors, Aurora Borealis: The Northern Lights are yours. O lady of the moonlight, By you my heart is owned Where dreams of love are noon-bright And whispered names are moaned. © |

Did anyone catch Betjemanland on BBC 4 the other night? It was a marvellous jaunt around the places he loved and some he lived in, presented by AN Wilson. What a fierce campaigner John was for old buildings under the threat of the wrecking ball. He saved many

Music As Life
Music I see as one of life's greatest boons, Could not imagine it without melodic tunes; Listen to some as I write within its sweet, Cocoons. Mozart's beautiful replete refrains Reverberate in ears, delight for one's brains; Stimulates like a baby's mother's heartbeat And releases burdensomness of my chains. Earlier today I heard of terrorisms in France By people with no music or any wish to dance. Frank |

Sweetness amongst the stars
There is sweetness amongst the stars glistening softly as then is now time and truth said from before has been shown with silence because you heard a time ago as I walk I hear your words but they are untruth from you until when understand it's worth so be sweetness amongst the stars. |
