Have recently watched 'Mama' could have been a great film, could have looked into the background of the ghost figure, but no killed off the character who was looking her up and then some contrived ending.

Any other films where the story was good but they didnt know how to end it and made a crap ending

Babylon A.D.

Ok, was a pretty poor Vin Diesel vehicle, but the premise was good...then they killed off the love interest when it just felt like there was a lot more film to come!

North by Northwest. Famously, hanging off of Mount Rushmore, Eva Marie Saint gets pulled up by Cary Grant and then next minute they're in the train going into the tunnel!

Django Unchained. Brilliant film up until the last 30 minutes or so and then we get a cliched, Hollywood revenge ending, as if Tarantino had no idea how to finish the film.

Midnight in Paris. Not so much rushed but it ended very abruptly.

It's a metaphor!

In Wall Street Money Never Sleeps, the couple who are estranged suddenly get $100 million so get together again. How rubbish is that?

My guess is that Oliver Stone was forced by the studio to tack that on.

Hehehehehe. Yeah, I know that. Hitch was always like that - with putting in sexual innuendo here and there in his films. It still is an abrupt ending, as it doesn't deal with the aftermath that much.

The Abyss.

Awful. Lazy. Anticlimactic. Such a shame.

Sam Peckinpah's Cross of Iron. The production ran out of money and just improvised an ending.

The Bourne Legacy.

Had odd pacing to begin with and then just...ended.

I didn't think the ending was so bad. If I remember right, the Russian attack overwhelms the outer defences, Steiner faces down the Captain and then leads him on a suicidal two man counter attack.
Do you know what should have happened?

Nope, there is a novel the film was based on but I've never read it. I kind of prefer the open ending..

There was a little known sequel with Richard Burton playing Steiner.

The directors cut not tho, seek that out and you'll find it has a proper ending

Legends Of The Fall, really enjoyed the 1st 2 hours then everything seemed a real rush finish as so not to make a 3-3 1/2 hour epic but a 2 and a bit hour rush job

Another Hitchcock classic for me, 'Rear Window'. The ending seemed way too fast for the overall pace of the film.

Star Trek Into Darkness

to be fair I felt that the movie never even started. The plot was a frickin mess and just as it looks like the finale is ramping up to a big moment it's all over with a whimper
