Emma is an horrendous presenter stumbling over her words constantly.
And to give Rylan more air time is going to finally kill off what little audience BOTS has.

Dreadful decision
This show needs a full clear out and get some new presenters and scrap the spin off shows and put the budget into some more live feed.

The thing is though Emma is a supposedly professional presenter Brian wasn't.
Both are awful
It needed completely freshening up, Emma on BOTS was embarrassing stumbling over her words, misreading the auto cue.

It seems a little harsh to describe a presenting team as 'shambolic' before they have broadcast a single second. Emma seems very competent to me. Rylan, well, we will have to wait and see.

Emma is a fantastic presenter. She stumbled over her words on BOTS because she was reacting to the humorous things the panel and audience members had said while trying to present a live television link without running over. The fact that she almost always recovered within seconds without having to start the link over shows just how good a presenter she really is.

I'm fully prepared to be amazed, but let's face it, the only way Rylan is going to surprise us is by lasting the entire run without being sacked, odious, face pulling thing that he is.

Emma is a very Good presenter. And who knows what Rylan will be like. How can you call them a shambolic team when you haven't even seen them yet. Give them a chance

I totally agree with you, the spin off shows are dire, and Rylan can only make it worse.........I imagine Emma is busy studying how Davina hosted the show, as we type, but thats all we can expect from BB these days... just impersonators of real presenters

You do realise this is what they have done?

Plus, full live feed is never going to happen any more. I'd be grateful for the fourteen hours a week we'll get over nothing at all.

Emma is a competent, experienced presenter, Rylan isn't, but I guess everyone has to start somewhere!

BOTS gets better ratings than The Xtra Factor.

And by the way you don't put "an" before horrendous. Its "A".

In that case we can safely say BOTS was quite successful last year, so why change a wining formula? rather than tweaking what they already have..........Putting Rylan in the show is more about giving him a job than pleasing the BB fans.......IMO

Indeed and he did some work on This Morning which I understand was very well received.

I would rather BotS rather than watching half of them sleep and seeing the offers whilst hearing birdsong and cut convos because of compliance.

In Emma and Rylan they have got two self confessed Big Brother fans and they hope that will engage the fans at home.
In the past some of the spin off show presenters were clearly not regular Big Brother watchers and their presenting style was more of jokey/mock the show. It depends what style of presenters people want but I'm interested to hear what the OP's suggestion for new main show presenter was.

I see the whingers have started to return putting a downer on the show before it even starts.

He does OK when he presents on This Morning. I disagree with the OP and think Emma and Rylan will do OK. They cannot be worse than Brian and that is a fact

I think they are headed in a direction that they hope pleases the actual fans of the show as opposed to futily chasing the TOWIE, Geordie Shore demographic that they have done in the past few series.

I think that some aspects such as Rylan is a comprimise to help keep some of the fans that were happy with the direction of the show in the last few series and essentialy keep one foot in the door to that audience.

That being said...

Watching the show from a perspective of a fan and being directly involved are two different things. Davina was a fan but by the end it was debatable whether she'd even watch a full episode of the HLs.

Emma Willis seems to have different takes on the show now from when she used to guest on BBLB. Part of that is the party line of course but then I think that how Jamie East (someone who was never a fan) said if he was not involved with the show he'd have blasted the decision to let Rylan leave but working on it gave him a different perspective on the matter. That it was important to have a relevent big name that concessions had to be made.

OP, what are you on about when it comes to a clear out ffs? They just had one, the whole show has been revamped. I don't get this thread at all.

I don't think you would ever have to worry about Rylan stumbling over his words, he doesn't stop talking, I think that guy could talk for Britain.
In all the interviews and presenting I've seen Rylan do one thing he can do is find something to talk about regardless of what is thrown at him he knows what to say.

This forum certainly is going to be a lot busier after a below average series 12 and 13

Hopefully this series will be talked about for the right reasons, if the casting is spot on

Changes all over the board, and a little bit of something for everyone including the BB traditionalists if they start watching again

14 hours a week of DEEF EVIL is infinitely better than 1 hour a week and we could have an extension if it is successful

More than enough time to get to know the not rights better

Emma should have had the main show gig from the start of the run on 5, hopefully she will keep the crowd in check unlike Brian who didn't have a clue how to control them
