For me, Pete. No other housemate has engrossed me so much.

Sigh. Hello again FM-with-many-names. Another day, another thread having a go at Luke. Having two locked in one day was not enough for you?

The most entertaining winner for me was Luke.

The next most entertaining was Aaron.

The third most entertaining was Cameron.
Oh you've convinced us all now. Thanks for being so detailed about it. May as well just close the thread now eh....

I think your love for a certain housemate is clouding your judgement. If you read the OP you'll see I discuss various former winners.

The guts?

Alexandra was just a housemate like everyone else. It hardly shows great courage and bravery. And certainly does not prove she was entertaining.

There is a reason why Rachel is widely regarded as one of the most boring ever winners. She did very little of note throughout the series. She won because she was a nice person, not because she was entertaining.

Yes guts..uike Rex who allegedly said what he felt...but bottled it when it came to Alexandra

That's your evidence for Rachel being entertaining, really?

She tip toed around people and rarely got involved when there was an issue. She kept her head down and hung around in the background for the most part.
Clearly hard for you to understand but probably the biggest 'issue' that series was Alexandra. She did get kicked out after all.

Rachel confronted her. Gobby individuals such as Rex and Rebecca didnt.

Whats hard to understand?

Nice deflecting, but no, i'm sure you know fine well what I meant.

Rachel's game plan was to sit on the fence and not say anything too controversial. She tip toed around people and rarely got involved when there was an issue. She kept her head down and hung around in the background for the most part.
You've obviously been watching someone different. Rachel had no gameplan and she did not sit on the fence. If she did:

- Why was she one of only two people that stood up to Alex over Chipgate?

- Why did she speak to Jen and Bex about their bitching?

- Why did she tell the whole house in a group meeting that she knew someone was bitching about her and asked whoever it was to speak to her in private later on?

- Why did she speak to Lisa after Mario's eviction about their comments on how it wasn't fair that "people who sit on the fence were staying in", so she knew that it was about her as she was the only one in the house who had to face those accusations?

- Why did she tell Dale that she thought he was a jerk at first?

- Why did she tell Rex in the final week exactly why she nominated him in the face to face nominations?

And that's just a few.

And as far as "being in the background", she was only "in the background" on the HL shows, as they only really focussed on the HMs who were bitching about others.

I think your hate for a certain housemate is clouding your judgement. You're only going to deny it, but it's clearly obvious you're trolling just to get a reaction.

Does that not tell you something when she automatically knew they were referring to her?

There is a reason why almost everyone in the house felt the same way about Rachel. Most housemates felt she sat on the fence for the most part. Were they all wrong, REALLY?

She was mostly in the background because the most exciting thing she did was open a bag of grapes.

I don't have a hateful bone in my body. If I say something negative about a housemate I will often try and offer a positive as well. Take Rachel for example, although I don't think she was entertaining I have clearly stated I think she had an endearing personality.

You'll have to go back through everything I've written and remind me where I've said I think Rachel was entertaining. I just disagree with your assertion that she didnt speak up when she wanted to

The "sitting on the fence" refers to when Rachel refused to join in the discussions on "who's going to be up for eviction, who's hated by the public", (etc). Sitting on the fence means that you refuse to make a decision. Rachel didn't refuse to make a decision on these topics. She had opinions on it. She just didn't want to discuss them because she felt it would put doubt into someone's mind about that person and get them to think about that negative thing.

Where's your positive points about Luke A then?

I've been positive about Luke A on other threads. Go and read them. Up to this point Luke A has barely been discussed on this thread. The thread has been dominated by Rachel.

Worst housemate ever.
Really?
Well, after BB4 the show's future looked to be rather bleak, but BB5 put it on the right track again and a big contributor to that was Nadia. So in a way you could say that Nadia helped save BBUK. So thanks Nadia. lol

Agreed.

Nadia is truly vile and she showed that in Ultimate Big Brother.
Absoloutely, how anyone could like her I'll never know?

Just looked, and can't see anything. Apart from:

Nothing positive about him there.

So who was it then?

I think we can safely say it wasn't Rachel, Cameron or Luke A. I'm sure most will agree.

Many will say Josie no doubt. She was the girl next door type, larger than life and she had a bubbly personality. She threw herself into absolutely everything.

Brian Belo is another one. His sheer stupidity made for good entertainment. He was certainly a character.

Kate Lawler may also be in with a shout. I doubt there's many people who didn't like Kate. She was such a fun girl who was up for anything. She would probably get my vote.

Nadia for me shouldn't even be in the running. She lied her way through Big Brother and she came across as a horrible person on Ultimate Big Brother.
Josie entertaining?? Yer 'avin' a larf.

Brian Belo, entertaining?? Yer 'avin' a larf.

Kate Lawler, entertaining?? Yer 'avin' a larf.

Well since she won BB5 in a landslide it can't be that difficult to see why.

I don't like some winners but when they win I can always understand it, as it's usually obvious or because there's plenty of people who voted for them saying why.

Yeah. 'Come on Alex you can do this. You're a strong girl. You're the strongest in here, you can do this.'
He showed her.
It should also be pointed out, that Rex wasn't remotely as obnoxious when Mario was around. In fact I remember at least three occasions where Rex walked away from him, tail between his legs. Where were his balls then?

I will answer you once but please let this be the end of it. You are derailing the thread. If you wish to discuss this further then create another thread or PM me.

I didn't have a favourite last year. Overall it was a very poor series. There wasn't really any big characters. I wasn't a fan of the transexual winner, can't remember his name.I didn't dislike him either mind you but that just about sums up the series. There was nobody I loved and nobody I hated. It was just a very disappointing group of housemates.

1) Brian Dowling. Someone had to say it.
2) Nadia, entertaining for all the wrong reasons.

Let's be honest "most entertaining winner" is tough. Most wouldn't even make top 5 in "most entertaining of their year".

It's not that difficult to understand really. She won because she had a back story.

Aaron without a doubt. Never a dull moment even if he did confuse and infuriate even his own fans at times lol.

Easily the wittiest, every storyline revolved round him. Just awesome.

Runners up for me are Kate and Brian Dowling - all the other winners are meh!
