This has long been one of the BB myths perpetrated around the forums since 2011. The story goes that for the launch of CBB8 two cast members (reportedly Sid Owen and Bobby Brown) pulled out at the last minute, resulting in Lucien and Bobby being called up instead, the story that goes was that Bobby was initially supposed to be a member of BB12's cast, but was pulled into the celebrity version with his modelling career used as an excuse to justify his celebrity status. This theory also gains momentum with Aaron's claim that he himself was a last minute replacement for BB12, which could very likely have been for Bobby.

The question that stems from this then is how do you think the series dynamics of BB12 would have changed had Bobby of been in BB12 instead of Aaron? Would he have inherited Aaron's massive DS fanbase? Would he have aligned with the Koala's or the wolfpack? Whereabouts would he have finished in the process?

The series would have stank (with Aaron being the most interesting character by far) and I don't think the divide, if it still existed, would have been the same.

I reckon Bobby would have gotten along with Jay so no an already awful series would be even worse,

That's interesting Tom, lots of people commented at the time that Louise seemed a better choice than Bobby for CBB as she'd had more of a career.

I'd have preferred to see Bobby and Louise switched as Bobby would certainly have had more impact in BB12 and would have been interesting to see how the dynamics would have changed with yet another Alpha Male

I never watched CBB but I don't think our house had an alpha male type really.

Seriously??? I think BB12 was just all about Aaron and Jays head butting. They were diff kinds of alpha males granted but I think they both were Alphas, people think it was all about the romances but I think it was all about Aaron and Jay.

It is interesting how often opinions change with time.

BB12 would've been awful without Aaron, whether he meant to or not he did create most of the atmosphere in there and a lot of the gossip.

I don't like the whole 'The person with the most votes is...' but I didn't mind when Aaron came out on top every time

And as for Bobby, I really liked him, purely for his looks in the CBB House though so I don't think he would've brought much to the normal BB.

I liked Bobby but he was a weak BB character.Not alpha at all. Jay and Aaron were the main characters in BB12 with the rest the supporting cast and they knew it.Louise was a beautiful zero, waltzing about, nothing to say and too nervous to say even that. So she retreated to the arms of Jay and his faecal fascinations.She knew she was not a main player but hoped Jay would give her some cred and airtime.She was sweet at first but soon reverted to a sly survival strategy.Jay was never her type, but needs must.
Aaron was a very complex character.Intelligent, cautious and deep thinking.My fav kind of HM.He had his game well thought out before BB and it worked.
I loved him but am under no illusions.He liked Faye but did not fully trust her and tbf she nommed him 3 times, so did not trust him either.I think in hindsight, Aaron had two many games at times and over thought stuff. He was witty and entertaining to me .I appreciate he was not, to all. A worthy winner IMO and Jay deserved his place also. Harry should have been in the final too and Anton.

What is a guinea pig housemate?

Someone who takes part in the dry runs they do before the series starts. Lots of housemates have done them, if the producers like you they will pull you out and put you in the main series. They did this with Bex in BB9.

I don't even want to think of Bobby in BB12. Imagine we'd have had Jay's freezergate, what Mark allegedly did to someones tea, and Bobby wringing his sweat into people's drinks.

The forum would probably have grabbed their pitchforks and started calling for an all female BB for the next one.
