1) F&F noms.
2) Newbies unless it's the first 2-3 weeks when someone walks.
3) F&F noms.
4) Anything that remotely resembles the crypt.
5) F&F noms. I can't even put into words how much I hate that.
6) No splitting the pot. It negates the whole thing of the public deciding who wins. (I may be able to live with rule breaks being cash from the pot punishments).
7) I forgot, no noms discussions.”

Totally agree with the shopping task. Maybe integrate it into nominations, like they did with the Boot Camp task in BB5.

Totally agree with F&F noms, although I must say, Australia did a rather good execution of that last year (the housemate's family could only use one point to nominate, whilst the housemate got 4).

HMs who came in later just skipped over the whole thing. Spit night in bb9 was a similar problem. We can't be sure how HMs who came in later would have acted if they'd been there.

Even without such events, just having to get through less time in the house can make BB much easier.”

and in that series if there wasn't new housemates we wouldn't have even had aislyne!!! and experienced her within the house, and i for one can't imagine bb7 without aislyne. i think people forget that she came in later.
[in a journey, things move forward.. new housemates coming in is a more realistic journey because things don't usually stay the way they were].
and for me at least, it makes it more interesting that you have 2 or 3 groups in which are on the same journey but with different perspectives, coming at it through different experiences.

i'm really, really surprised fans of the show don't like new housemates coming in, it's probably top 3 on my favorite things overall.

yeah, it's a good point that's brought up about them having extra knowledge and it's probably not fair to keep them isolated for a really long time in trying to keep them from having such knowledge but as far as i can remember that extra knowledge didn't create such an imbalance/impact to where i'd sacrifice the new housemates because of it (perhaps in belo's case it did, nevertheless... people on the outside are still the one's with the power to vote and even with that extra knowledge the public has the choice).

Agreed, but what BB did used to do in the beginning was make a stark contrast between series.

BB2 was mainly about fun and romance, with the brilliantly funny Brian, and the pathetically over-hyped Brian-Helen romance.

They wanted to switch it up in BB3, by really cranking up the conflict, and, apart from the odd Davina comment, they more-or-less went against the "romance" angle, actually ignoring some couple (Lee and Sophie), and happy to break up others (Kate and Spencer). This was what made it my fave series actually, not a big fan of the romance.

In BB4 they switched it again, in what people say was a disaster.

Ever since though BB have used 4 as a stick to beat us with. Oh you can't have normal HMs it'll be boring, we needs freaks and PR girls, from now on. Forgetting the fact that they ballsed it up by getting rid of Anoushka, with a twist, and another twist got rid of Tickle and Fed all in one go. *****.

Would much rather have a BB4 then BB6 which was just hideous, and got worse viewing figures, interestingly enough.

Anyway on the subject of the thread, I wish they'd be more reactive, if the HMs are a bit dull, shake 'em up, if they're already OTT, give them something to bond.

Pre-arranged plans are just annoying.
